Steve Yzerman provides an update on Dylan Larkin's trade request: "I will be deliberately brief here. Shortly after the season, I received a phone call from Dylan Larkin's agent informing me that Dylan would like to be traded. A week or so after that, Dylan's agent followed up with a short list of teams that Dylan would consider waiving his no-trade clause to go to. Having said that, Dylan has five years remaining on his contract. My job as the manager of the Detroit Red Wings is always to do what is in the best interest of the Detroit Red Wings, and I will act accordingly to that. So I cannot make any guarantees, and I did not make any guarantees, that that request could or would be met. There is certainly a lot of uncertainty around that. So, for the time being, I can confirm that yes, that request was made. I think I will be in a position to maybe answer more questions and be more specific in the future. Today, I would just like to leave it at that." #LGRW

Jack Eichel on the Vegas Golden Knights being called an “evil empire” by fans: "I don't know, it's a place a lot of people want to play. So it can't be that bad, right? It can't be that much of an evil empire. I mean, you can say it's because we're aggressive and maybe we do things a little differently, this or that. But obviously whatever the organization's been doing, and I've only been a part of it for half the time, but obviously whatever the organization's been doing, they've been doing something right, right? It's had success and that starts with our owner and Bill Foley and George McPhee and Kelly McCrimmon and everyone else that's been a part of it. And that runs through our training staff, that runs through our equipment staff, that runs through all the people that work in our front office and work in the business side of things. So I think you feel that when you're there and you spend more time there it's a great organization to be a part of. It's a great city to live in. It's a great city to play for. I have nothing but great things to say about the organization. Sometimes when people have success and good things happen, other people like to try and drag them down. So it is what it is." #VegasBorn #ForgedInGold #StanleyCup

Jason Spezza on why the Pittsburgh Penguins moved on from Ryan Shea: "I think we'll wait and see with everything. But at the end of the year, we talked with Ryan. Ryan's a player that, obviously, we brought in here a few years ago and got a lot out of. He went to market with hopes of cashing in long-term with a big ticket, as he deserves with the way he's played. Like anyone, we'll continue to monitor what's going on out there right now. Ryan's a guy that we've had lots of time for in the past, but we feel like we've replaced him with Declan Carlile, and we'll continue to watch and just kind of see where things go. We're always in on anything, and if the market changes, then the market changes." #LetsGoPens
