I asked Owen Strachan whether National Right to Life was in sin for killing abolition bills. He couldn't definitively call that sin because he needs a New Testament verse in order to do that. If you can't say that legislators (who are appointed by God as deacons of wrath to punish evil doers) are in sin for killing bills that would uphold justice for the fatherless, you've got a massive problem with your hermeneutic. Rulers must kiss the Son.
