400-000 in many countries? Many People Misunderstand South Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆ & the Scale of the Immigration Crisis or Associated Problems Initially a very welcoming country. We got rid of refugee camps & opted for integration way before it was fashionable Ppl here didnt just wake up one day & decide to be anti-immigration. A lot of ppl took advantage of the systems and some exploited them. Hundreds of thousands of people move in every year using loopholes in the system, coming to search for jobs, facilities, and opportunities in a country with a 1% GDP growth rate, an unemployment rate of 34%, and 60% youth unemployment. That is definitely a recipe for disaster. Also It is a known phenomenon where people with a level of emotional detachment move into neighbourhoods. Vandalism increases as the place is seen as somewhere to extract benefit for survival. Traffic lights, pumps, batteries for cell towers, illegal electrical connections, buildings occupied by people who do not have the necessary documents to get a proper lease, etc. Some did migrate for healthcare facilities and go to the free ones seen as meant for citizens only, because immigrants are supposed to cover costs or go to private healthcare. They also occupy low-skill or no-skill opportunities such as salons, barber shops, and spaza shops, and they offer cheap, reliable labour. With each wave, attachment drops. We all know what this โSouth Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆโ situation is really about. This entire move was made at the request of the Israeli ๐ฎ๐ฑ governmentโฆ understandably because of the ideological tussle South Africa is fighting with Israel at the ICJ. There wasnโt much to pin South Africa down with after that diplomatic cable was sent asking the USA to apply pressure. There was nothing solid enough to trigger sanctions, so the strategy shifted to widening cracks and exploiting weaknesses. Narratives had to be swapped out, stretched, or created from scratch. Domestic policy issues and Afrikaner groups are being used as convenient noiseโฆ the simplest point of entry. And obviously you need a disgruntled internal group for this type of pressure campaign to work, so they become the ideal vehicle. The USA ๐บ๐ธ doesnโt genuinely care about any of these issues. They donโt touch American interests. Whether itโs the BELA Act, EWC, Afrikaner grievances, farm attacks, or the whole โreverse racismโ narrativeโฆ none of that is the real issue. Itโs just fuel to ride the global right-wing momentum and amplify the white extermination myth for emotional leverage. The truth is: this is a calculated pressure campaign against a country with a relatively clean global record. Itโs not a misunderstanding. Itโs not Trump being misinformed. Itโs a deliberate narrative operation. South Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆ brought a knife ๐ช to a world of narrative and information warfare.

No one will read this: But when one goes through the list of โrace lawsโ the IRR talks aboutโฆ you actually get shocked. I went in expecting hardcore stuff like โNo whites allowed in Universityโ or โNo whites allowed in Hospitalsโ etcโฆ but noo. Itโs the Gambling Act, South African Weather Service Act, Boxing Act, Tourism Act, Broadcasting Act, National Sport and Recreation Act, National Health Laboratory Service Act, Civil Aviation Act, Electronic Communications Act, etc. listed. Here is the website: And theyโre listedโฆ not because they segregate anyone, but simply because they mention the words transformation or redress, some coz they require some racial/sex/disability or even sector-specific representation such as โrequired Faith based leader,โ youth representation, community or stakeholder groups, and even professional or sectoral expertise on regulatory boards where some of those groups historically or recently werenโt part of those structures. My personal opinion: โ ๏ธ Yes it is concerning that there are no clear end goalsโฆ no cut-off timelinesโฆ no measurable targets. South Africa hasnโt had a purely merit based system for over 100 years. I donโt think transformation pressures should be a permanent feature of society. There has to be parts of our system where we declare victory and let other systems take over now. And where these pressures donโt always succeed, alternative tools need to be explored. Keeping something say for example BEE forever, even when it isnโt achieving the intended goals, becomes very hard to defend. We need the best of each community competing with the best of other communitiesโฆthatโs the only way to get the ultimate best of our communities running our society. He weaponised the peopleโs plight & tickled their ears with something they wanted to hear. I am praying that on Sunday he doesnโt tell people to take to the streets with the wording โWe are fighting against apartheid 2.0.โ Because when the rubber bullets start flying, everyone will say itโs (Black vs. White) instead of seeing it for what it really is (one manโs ego). Not really: Starlink is more attractive to countries without strong local telecoms. Here are some views on starlink & South Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆ. 1. ICASA- The country regulates and sells EMR spectrum like real estate, requiring companies to purchase or license spectrum before operating. You canโt/ shouldnโt just beam EMR internet into South Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆ 2. South Africa has a 74% internet penetration rate and 80% surface coverage, mainly provided by local ISPs that Hire local workers,Pay major taxes within South Africa, Have government ownership stakes,Are listed on the JSE allowing citizens to invest in stocks so they serve as crucial economic assets. 3. Countries that adopt Starlink before developing their own telecoms will lose the chance to build local industries. They risk becoming permanently dependent on Elon Musk, Starlink, and the USA ๐บ๐ธ, locking their infrastructure into foreign hands forever. 4. Local Partnerships & BEE -Even global players like Vodafone had to partner with Telkom to form Vodacom when entering South Africa. This highlights the importance of local partnerships for operating within the country.
