Look at the useless punishment and useless apology Adampur, Varanasi- In Jun 2025 Nandu Maurya’s 12-year-old daughter was forcibly abducted by a jihad named Nihal and he took her to his home. When Nandu Maurya went to retrieve his daughter, Nihal and his entire family attacked him. They further threatened him, claiming that his daughter had now embraced their religion, that her Nikah had been solemnized, and that they would kill her and send her to hell. Acting upon the complaint regarding this incident, the UP Police swung into action and arrested the accused from their residence. Subsequently, the police made all the accused perform *Uthak-Baithak* (sit-ups as a form of punishment) right inside the police station.
