Kylie Jenner says she was weeping in bed after showing her daughter the first episode of the family show “She said, ‘Why are we famous?’ And I sat her. I’m like, ‘We started a television show when I was a year older than you, and that’s why we’re all in this together, because we were all on the show together.’ She was like, ‘Can I watch it?’ And I’m like, ‘Sure’” Kid Cudi: “Oh, that’s so dope. Seeing your kids watching the show must be crazy” Kylie: “So we turned on the first episode. Some things I didn’t realize were inappropriate. So right when I knew that it was about to start playing, I fast forward through all the inappropriate stuff, but I showed her a cute scene of a house party that we had and just some little things that I knew were fine” “She was like, ‘Okay, mommy, when can we watch episode 2?’ And then she kind of left the room. I was so emotional after” “I don’t know what hit me, but I was weeping in my bed. I don’t know why that happened to me. I was just like, maybe it’s my daughter being the same age as I was” “And just seeing my family, feeling so grateful for all that we’ve built, but also mourning that closeness when we were all kind of living under the same roof” “It was very emotional. I didn’t know it was going to hit me like that”

Sandra Oh says a woman approached her at the Met to say a Grey’s Anatomy scene made her leave her fiancé and become a lawyer “Young people come up to me all the time. It was at the opera, when I did the opera at the Met last year” “She came up to me and she goes, ‘I have to tell you something.’ And it’s always that, I have to tell you something. And you go, ‘Okay, tell me’” “And she was saying, 10 years ago I was watching your show and I was going to get married to this guy, and he didn’t want me to work. He was like, I’ll take care of you, blah blah blah” “And she was quoting this scene, which of course you’re going, what scene is that? What scene is that?” “And then she said something like, oh, I remember that scene, it’s a scene with Burke. In season 10, Burke comes back and offers her this incredible opportunity in Switzerland, which Cristina then takes” “So I’m like, oh, I understand what episode she’s talking about, but she’s saying how much this episode and I think the character affected her” “And she goes, ‘I left him. I became a lawyer’” “And I was just like, ‘Good for you. Whatever was going on in your life, it was not enough. And that guy who was saying that you are not going to be who you’re going to be and fulfill your destiny, go become a lawyer... Leave that. Leave him’”

Neil Patrick Harris reveals How I Met Your Mother only filmed 22 weeks out of the year and Mondays were a one-hour day “We only filmed for half of the year, really. Because you’re only doing 22 episodes, so that’s 22 weeks out of the year that you’re filming. You got every fourth week off while the writers kind of kept writing and tightened things up” “It was kind of the dream job” “Monday you’d go in for a table read, where you’d sit around a table and you’d read the script so that the network people could hear it, the writers could hear it. They’d know what was landing and wasn’t. You go home. You’d work for one hour on Monday” “Tuesday you’d go in 10 AM. You’d rehearse the scenes with the director and just the cast, and then at like lunchtime 15 people would come in. You’d put on a play. People would laugh, whatever. You go home” “Then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday you’d film. If you weren’t in the scenes, you didn’t have to be there. And we filmed it like it was a sitcom. We didn’t have a studio audience, but we had the cameras as if it was a studio audience” “And then you just got to play for three days. Fantastic. It was the best job”

I didn’t have any money to go to college. My grandparents had given me $8,000, which was so generous, but it didn’t cover my tuition. I remember it was $33,000 with room and board” Lulu: “Seems like a bargain now” Reese: “I know. But I couldn’t afford it. So, I had to figure out how I’d get an acting job to pay for it. So, I left to go get an acting job. I got one” “I ended up doing three movies in a row: Pleasantville, Election and Cruel Intentions. And then by the time I had finished those three films, it had been a year and a half” Lulu: “And also, you were legit famous” Reese: “Well, I wouldn’t say I was really famous until I did Legally Blonde”

Sharon Stone says her marriage ended in the room after her husband became furious over her decision to have breast surgery “The doctor had come out to my house and said, ‘Look, we think you should have a bilateral mastectomy. This is really bad. And usually when they’re all the way up into here, we know before we go in that they’re cancer’” “And I said, ‘I don’t have cancer.’ And he said, ‘You don’t get to decide that’” “And I said, ‘I do. I do get to decide that. I’m deciding. But I am deciding that I will have a bilateral because I’m not f*cking around’” “And my husband said, ‘This is ridiculous,’ and got up and left the room” David: “Which part was ridiculous?” Sharon: “That I would have a bilateral. He was furious” David: “Not that the cancer, if it was true, might kill you? He was mad about the breasts being removed” Sharon: “And so the doctor said to him, ‘If I had more patients like her, we’d have more women alive today. You need to sit down’” “And I said, ‘I make the decisions, not you.’ That was the end of the marriage. That was it. He was done with me then. It was over” David: “Oh, it ended because he ended it, not you” Sharon: “It was just over in the room. You could just tell it was over”

Jon Hamm says he accepted Top Gun: Maverick before hearing the salary and told his agents they were fired if they lost the role “I’m driving down the road and my phone rings. It’s my agent: ‘They want you to do a part in the Top Gun sequel’” “I was like, ‘Well then, the answer is yes’” “They’re like, ‘Well, we don’t know the money and this and that.’ I was like, ‘No, no, no, no, no. The answer is yes. You work out the details, but the answer is yes’” “‘If this goes away, you’re all fired’” “To flash back to being 13, 14 years old in 1985, be asked to be a part of the next chapter of this, and then basically have all of my scenes be with Tom Cruise - it was like, ‘No, this is a no-brainer’” “‘The answer is yes. I’m sure it will be a big hit.’ And it was”

But there’s a point where it’s out of my control. There’s literally nothing I can do about it. And when people say, ‘But you can adopt’, I don’t want to adopt” “I want my own DNA in a little person. Selfish or not, whatever that is, I wanted it to come. But are there moments?” “This goes around into probably a topic I don’t really want to discuss, but when you meet someone and you go, ‘God, we would have made some good kids’” “That might come up, and then that’ll pass within three seconds” Dax Shepard: “You’ll plan a trip to Mexico” Jennifer: “Just take a look at that vacation for five minutes and you’re like, ‘Good night. Bye. See you later. What are we going to watch?’” “It’s romanticizing, but once you are on the other side of it, it’s out of your control. It just wasn’t in the plan”

Emilia Clarke reveals she hid her first brain hemorrhage from HBO for two weeks so they wouldn't write her out of Game of Thrones "I wrapped the first season of Game of Thrones. But it flipped my life upside down, so I was quite stressed. And we wrapped that in December and February I was in the gym doing a plank and had my first brain hemorrhage" "And then spent the next 2 weeks with my agent trying to not tell HBO until they knew I wouldn't die" "I was in A&E until they worked out what was wrong with me. Then I went to a different hospital and they were plugging me in and I just kept trying to say I've got to go to work. I can't be here. How long is this going to take? And they're like, your brain is bleeding. It's going to take quite some time" "But as soon as I left hospital I had maybe a month and then I was doing press for the first season of Game of Thrones. Still with a bit of morphine" "I was so ashamed that this thing had happened and that the people who had employed me might see me as weak or see me as something that could be broken. It was so like, 'No, fine. Fine. I'm fine'"

Jeffrey Dean Morgan admits he was ready to walk away from Dead City because Negan had lost his charisma “And then I felt like last year we really got bogged down in season 2. Negan especially, from my point of view, all I did was cry, and he’d lost his charisma and everything that made him Negan” “And I called Dan McDermott, who runs AMC, from my trailer after the last day of filming of season 2, and I said, ‘I can’t do it like this anymore. And it’s been awesome and thank you and I love you’” “And that started a whole other conversation, ‘Before you run off, Jeff, is there a way we can shift this and make it a show that we all think it can be?’” Josh: “So you were fully prepared to walk away” Jeffrey: “Yeah. And I think Lauren was there also. I was just the first one to call, and I’m really quiet, I don’t often call anybody” “If I’m calling, there’s something going on. And luckily we brought in Seth Hoffman, who I think injected so much” “And I remember having my first phone conversation with him one-on-one, ‘What are you looking for? What do you want to do?’ And I was like, ‘Well, the dynamic has to change. There has to be more to it than she wants to kill me and I’m trying to make her not kill me and talk her out of it and save her son.’ We’ve done it” “And then I just wanted Negan back. I wanted his humor and charisma and his smartness back in the show, cause I felt like it just vanished”

Seth Rogen says a sexless relationship is probably bad for everybody Olivia Wilde: “My favorite thing [from the movie ‘The Invite’] was you being like, ‘What do you mean they don’t have sex?’” “You were like, ‘I don’t understand. There’s a basic problem with the plot, because why would two people ever stop having sex?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, Seth, you’ve really figured out life’” Seth: “With a movie like this - something that’s somewhat universal but sensitive at the same time - it’s hard to make definitive statements about things” “It’s hard to be like, ‘If you haven’t had sex in X amount of time, you’re in a bad relationship.’ People don’t want to do that” “I think that was part of the process, us being like, ‘No, that is bad.’ Maybe it’s not bad for everyone, but it’s bad for this couple” “And it probably also is bad for everybody”

Kristen Stewart says a studio cut her out of the Snow White sequel that made half a billion dollars because of slut shaming Howard: “That movie, the one with Charlize Theron-” Kristen: “Snow White and the Huntsman” Howard: “That f*cking movie made like a half a billion dollars. And then they didn’t ask you to be in the sequel” Kristen: “We lived in a different time then. You know what I mean? I feel like now, the slut shaming that went down was so absurd. And they should have put me in that movie. It would have been better. Not to be a d*ck” Howard: “You’re saying there was slut shaming of you?” Kristen: “Well, they didn’t put me in that movie ’cause I went through a highly publicized scandal. So they were scared of touching that” Howard: “That’s why they didn’t have you in the sequel. That was a dumb move” Kristen: “I think so” Howard: “Isn’t that wrong though, not to put you in a sequel ’cause you fell in love with the director?” Kristen: “I wouldn’t say that I fell in love with the director, but yeah, it was a weird thing, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. It literally wasn’t. The work is so much more important. What do you care?” “I just thought that movie, we could have made a great second one and we could have done it in a functional and healthy way. And then we didn’t ultimately do that, and that’s okay ’cause I did other stuff and it’s fine. But yeah, that was weird” Howard: “So you were blamed for not being in the second movie just because you had sex with somebody. That’s what you’re telling me” Kristen: “I did not f*ck him” Howard: “Oh, you didn’t f*ck him. Okay. So why not clear that up? Why not say that?” Kristen: “Well, who’s going to believe - it doesn’t matter. You make out with a dude in public. It definitely looks like you did” Howard: “So it was an innocent sort of thing. The media made it out to be a big deal” Kristen: “Yeah. I mean, look, it wasn’t innocent. That was a really hard period of my life. I was really young” Howard: “Well, it’s understandable. You’re a young woman. You were going out with Rob” Kristen: “Yeah. I didn’t really know how to deal with that. I made some mistakes” Howard: “Hey, guess what? Everybody does” Kristen: “And honestly, it’s no one’s business and people get over sh*t like that. It really is not a big deal” “And basically what I’m saying is the work to me genuinely was ignored in a really sort of frivolous, silly, petty way for a group of adult people who are supposed to be running studios and making films”

Dolly Parton says fans would drive by and ask her husband if he was Dolly Parton's husband, and he'd say 'do I look like I'd be Dolly Parton's husband' "He'd be out mowing the yard on the tractor and the fans would come by to see our house, and they'd say, are you Dolly Parton's husband? He'd say, do I look like I'd be Dolly Parton's husband, with his old straw hat and his old work clothes on" "When I first got here I won song of the year, a BMI award in 1966, the year we got married. He rented a tuxedo, didn't want to do it, I begged him to go" "And when we were leaving, he started taking the jacket off and said, now I want you to do great, but don't you ever ask me to go to another one of these damn things, cuz I ain't going. And he never did" "I knew right then that I'm just going to keep him private as best I can, never ask him to do nothing. He was very proud of me. But we got along great because we didn't have nothing to fight over like that"

Correct? Halsey: "It's predominantly African-American women, Latin women. And I'm half black, so that was another thing too" "A lot of my doctors were like, that sucks, you look so white, because we probably would have found this a lot sooner if we knew" "And I was like, I told you guys. Viola Davis reveals Juilliard trained her by putting a pencil in her mouth to check her tongue position "No one wants to see a play or a movie and look at technical proficiency. You wanna be moved. You want a human experience, you wanna feel less alone. They don't get at that" "They get at, literally, when you are rehearsing at Juilliard, they have a teacher with a pencil who follows you through the rehearsal and puts the pencil in your mouth to see where your tongue is and where it's positioned when you articulate" "Or there's a person following you throughout rehearsal, holding your ribcage to see if you're breathing properly through your diaphragm" "And so when it gets like that and you leave yourself and your soul behind, you're not an artist" "And can I just say, on top of that, it's Eurocentric training. So when you're studying all of those classics, there's a clear idea of what all of those characters look like. And that's not me" "So then what am I supposed to do with my Blackness? What am I supposed to do with my deep voice and my wide nose?"

Stanley Tucci says a Michelin-starred restaurant served his family carrots “like a steak,” microscopic radishes and refused to give them bread “I did go to a restaurant that is Michelin-starred, and I won’t name it. Some people love it. I didn’t. I’d been a number of times. This is in the New York area. Boy, am I vague” “We were with the older kids, but they were younger. You sit down, it’s just a gorgeous setting and everything, and then they say, ‘Tonight, carrots are on the menu.’ I’m not kidding” “And I was like, ‘Oh, okay. Anything else?’” “‘The chef is treating carrots like a steak.’ And I thought, ‘No.’ The kids go, ‘What does that mean? Is he going to milk them?’” “They were the biggest carrots I’d ever seen, all organically grown, of course. And that was the thing” “They brought out some radishes. They came from a long distance. They had a piece of slate, and there were these radishes. We were like, ‘What are they bringing? What is that?’” “As opposed to most things, where they get closer to you and get bigger, these got smaller. They put it down on the table and they go, ‘Radish.’ And the kids go, ‘Where?’ It was so terrible” “We asked for bread, and they said the chef does not like to serve bread because then you won’t eat your food. I’m not six” “I thought, it’s about you. It’s not about us. Not that you have to cater to us, but...”
