IN DEFENSE OF MARGINS Usage-based pricing is becoming more common and new developments are bringing inference costs down. One failure mode is to think low margins are structurally permanent. Very high gross margins are actually an orange flag in today's world because the product probably isn't using much AI. Fantastic conversation with CJ Gustafson
