you might think you're cool, but you'll never be as cool as kenji ohba just casually pulling off the smoothest jumping back kick in history then hitting the jouchaku after being encouraged by hiroshi miyauchi

toyotomi kyodai is good but now i'm watching hideyoshi '96 there's absolutely no contest... tetsuya watari gave me CHILLS as oda nobunaga in this scene. even if you don't know a thing about nobunaga, hideyoshi and mitsuhide, this one scene tells you who all three truly are

just as i think the last ep of hideyoshi is the best one, i watch the next one and it blows me away again. the change in hiroaki murakami's eyes had me entranced, he's truly on another level!... 🤯 i've become quite fond of his mitsuhide... (please forgive me, nobunaga-sama! 🙇🏻‍♀️)

whenever ohba-san sang in any of his shows, i always wished he'd sing more. every time he did it, it was always was so beautiful, even when he was singing in a joking way like he did in the kenya scenes. among all his numerous other talents, he had a truly gorgeous singing voice.

the sound design is absolutely popping off too this week. that little piano motif then sudden jarring silence after death gavan first fires his weapon, and that epic background music after... good lord i need this soundtrack immediately.
