Saronic has been awarded a production OT under the U.S. Navy's MUSV Marketplace for Marauder, our 180-foot dual-use autonomous ship — following a rigorous at-sea evaluation that tested the vessel’s capabilities. The trials included autonomously tracking and maneuvering around a variety of vessels, plus a battery of passive-perception tests — requiring Marauder to detect, track, and follow other vessels using only its passive onboard sensors, with no active radar. It's one of the hardest problems in autonomous maritime systems, and Marauder ran every scenario back-to-back on the same platform now under contract with the Navy. "Marauder went from initial design to on-the-water in under a year, and this evaluation demonstrated that the platform holds up under the Navy's own toughest testing," said Dino Mavrookas, CEO and Co-Founder. "We've now flipped our third Marauder hull, with several more moving through the production line behind it. We can build at that pace because we designed the autonomy, software, hardware, and the production process side-by-side, as one system, rather than bolting them together after the fact. That's what it means to be a vertically integrated shipbuilder, and it's why we've been able to build and deliver at speed and scale."

Our Franklin, Louisiana team just completed the hull flip for our third Marauder, a major production milestone, with Marauders 4 and 5 already moving through the line behind it. Our first Marauder is on the water, with a second close behind. We're moving fast to meet the urgency of the moment. With the expansion of our Franklin shipyard, we’re building the capacity to produce 20 Marauders every year, equivalent to one every 18 days. Congratulations to the entire Franklin team for making it happen. We're just getting started.

Now we're running it on the water 12+ hours a day, seven days a week, proving out the autonomy at range and in conditions that don't cooperate. We're pushing the system hard - it's the same bar we've held on every vessel we've fielded, and we're holding it here. We're putting in the work that matters and we're glad to be doing it.

We broke ground immediately and are working around the clock to bring 300,000+ sq. ft. of new shipbuilding capacity online by the end of this year. What that means is that by January 1, 2027, this capacity goes live — driving a step-function increase in Marauder production from an already rapid baseline, while strengthening the U.S. maritime industrial base and accelerating delivery of next-generation autonomous vessels. And we’re just getting started.
