Julian Edelman on Drake Maye: Per: FOX Sports: NFL, Julian Edelman “I don’t think Josh really tweaked anything. This is a product of a 24 year old quarterback who probably went through the first bit of adversity in his career. I talk with Josh all the time and he goes “nothings ever been hard for this kid. He goes out and he shoots a 78 at Augusta, can win a 3 point contest, he can hit dingers when he’s at a home run derby. He’s good at everything he does, and probably the best thing for him was to go through a little adversity.”” Incredibly well said by Julian. Drake Maye having some adversity and growing from it could be one of the best things to happen to the kid.

Mike Vrabel on Drake Maye making bad decisions: Per: WEEI, The Greg Hill Show “I think quarterbacks want to make plays. they want to throw touchdowns. I think sometimes when Greg and I go golfing, we really want to make a good score, right?…we try to choke the life out of the golf club, and we’re squeezing it so damn tight that the ball has no choice but to go sideways. We need to stop trying to choke the life out of every single play. We need to relax.” GH: “that ball he’s trying to throw to Chism in the end zone, he just believes…what’s your assessment” MV: “that it’s a terrible decision.”

Here’s a clip from the YouTube breakdown on AJ Brown. Clearly something was up with him yesterday, as these are balls he should typically come down with. As he said, “no excuses”. The Patriots need to trust him to come down with these difficulty catches. And he is fully capable.

wow. Per: Brian Windhorst on Rich Eisen Show The NBA knew about the illegal gambling scheme and tried to sweep it under the rug. Wild. "I just want to point something out. The sports books caught the irregular betting on Terry Rozier the day it happened... And guess what? The NBA— Rozier didn't play the rest of the season and he had faked the injury. So, it wasn't cause of the injury. The NBA pulled him"

Wow. Per: Bill Simmons Giannis was about to sign off on the Celtics trade, but he wanted a 3 year extension at 35% of the cap but Boston was set on 2 years at 30%. Brad Stevens would budge on the extension and that’s when he approved the trade to Miami. Unreal.

Mike Florio on Diana Russini and her relationship with Mike Vrabel. Per: ProFootballTalk “And that’s how it usually happens. The reporters use their platform to do favors for their sources. This is a different manifestation of the same behavior. At the end of the day you’re compromising your integrity and you’re undermining your own credibility in order to protect the free flow of information.”
