They call the past 76 years a curse. Yet, in that time we built schools and universities and gave free education. Sri Lanka became the first country in South Asia to liberalise its economy, expanding exports to the world and creating new industries. We established free trade zones and developed tourism. We built infrastructure and provided electricity to make life easier and more accessible. We now see a strong middle class. If you want proof of how good it has been, ask Wasantha Samarasinghe. He will give you a better answer than anyone else.

RW always treats his opponents with respect. Class isn’t something money can buy. It comes from within.

Do we spend more on education and health or CPC and CEB

Light-years measure distance, not speed. (He has a BSc in Physics?) Sri Lanka is an INDEPENDENT country located in the Indian Ocean, not part of the (nonexistent) Indian continent. Cyberattacks are worse than nuclear attacks?? (Seriously?) Words matter, especially when you’re the President of Sri Lanka.

Ranjan Jayalal Says “Even with just 3% of the power, we managed to achieve what we wanted. We brought the government to its knees and forcefully stormed the CEB. Now that we hold the power, we will have our way. We just need to remind the government.” Isn't this a clear admission of NPP ochestrating sabotage in CEB? If CEB is now making profits shouldn't the general public enjoy the benefits first? After all, CEB became profitable as the subsidies were removed, not because CEB became a more efficient organisation. To top it off, CEB has so far not been able to submit the tariff revisions. It will be interesting to see what the government does with the demands made by their loyal member who incidentally also appeared on their National List nominations.
