MP Jeevan Thondaman slams Justice Minister Harshana Nanayakkara for calling former President Ranil a ‘thief and a beggar’ and demands an apology. He also questions the point of parading lists without legal action, saying if it is illegal take action and if not stop the spectacle.

Ranjan Jayalal Says “Even with just 3% of the power, we managed to achieve what we wanted. We brought the government to its knees and forcefully stormed the CEB. Now that we hold the power, we will have our way. We just need to remind the government.” Isn't this a clear admission of NPP ochestrating sabotage in CEB? If CEB is now making profits shouldn't the general public enjoy the benefits first? After all, CEB became profitable as the subsidies were removed, not because CEB became a more efficient organisation. To top it off, CEB has so far not been able to submit the tariff revisions. It will be interesting to see what the government does with the demands made by their loyal member who incidentally also appeared on their National List nominations.
