Lane Kiffin continues to make a strong case against the SEC's move to nine conference games. More losses, more beat-up teams and less roster depth in the transfer portal era. His biggest point? SEC teams are being punished in the rankings for playing tougher schedules. Hard to argue with him on this one.

Lane Kiffin on Clemson having to sit through the weather delay in the visitors locker room: “That locker room sucks over there.” 😂 LSU was given the option to shorten the delay. Kiffin said no. “If I think 90 minutes is gonna help us win the game, we’re gonna sit in the locker room for 90 minutes.” This guy is always looking for an edge.

Really liked this from Jordan Seaton Jordan Seaton today. “We put in real work, real pain here.” No team-building gimmicks. Seaton says LSU bonded through the grind of summer workouts — and that preparation is why the outside noise doesn’t matter. This dude is a fantastic interview. 🐯

Lane Kiffin with a great answer on the “next man up” mentality after injuries. “Just call your plays, and then you just blame the player. ‘Well, he’s not good enough.’ Well, that’s not a coach’s job, in my opinion.” Kiffin says it’s on coaches to adapt their schemes to the players they actually have.

LSU DE Princewill Umanmielen knows Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss pretty well — he practiced against him last year in Oxford. Does that give him an edge Saturday? Princewill says no, but listen to him explain the details of rushing — and FINISHING — against a mobile QB. 👀 This is a matchup to watch.

Kim Mulkey on MiLaysia Fulwiley’s next step at LSU: “She’s gonna get to play the position she’s most comfortable with.” Mulkey says Fulwiley was there for every summer workout and has been challenged to improve her defense and conditioning. With Jada Williams at point, look for Fulwiley to spend more time off the ball.

Pete Golding with a message to Ole Miss fans before Lane Kiffin returns to Oxford: “Let’s not lose that over a game, over a person or anything else like that.” Golding wants them early and LOUD Saturday — but says don’t lose what makes Oxford special. No. 7 LSU at No. 8 Ole Miss. 🍿
