Was extremely pleasantly surprised by this Nasser and Atherton episode. The BCCI’s (read: Indian Cricket consumer’s) short stewardship of the game has been so hilariously petulant that at this point it is extremely difficult for any straight faced neutral to not accidentally parrot Pakistani talking points. A generational fumble from the Indians. They’ve been a super power at one thing for 15 minutes and even there they’ve lost control of the narrative.

One reason why I prefer listening to Pakistanis singing in Persian is that they don’t put on an accent while singing the words. In contrast, most recitations of Arabic Hamd o Naat can seem a little artificial because of the distracting concern for pronouncing ث ص or ض ز correctly
