In 2013 Kendrick Lamar came to Lincoln Nebraska for the Good Kid Maad City tour, I was called to open up for him and when I got there thinkin I’d be 1 of a couple openers. I learned it was just me, I was actually a co headliner! This was the biggest show I had done at that point. He gave me the opportunity to rock an auditorium! Before he hit the stage he pulled me to the side and told me “I’ll see you at the top” and needless to say hes CLEARLY playin a role in blowin me up lately. It’s ironic & poetic.
