Let's rewind to 2014, shall we... when Mickelson (one behind) lets Rory play up on 18 to win the PGA. I say, if it was Tiger, McIlroy would have been told, ever so politely, to f**k off.

For all those hating on the Phil, let's just remind ourselves of a situation no other fucker would take on... let alone pull off.

Who remembers this PGA shit show from 2010 when Dustin Johnson had a putt to 'win'... but was penalised 2 shots on the last for grounding his club in a 'bunker' full of spectators. Imagine if he'd holed it... then breaking the news.

Often forgotten... Big John donated $30,000 from his winners cheque to a family fund for Thomas Weaver, who died after a lightning strike at the '91 PGA. Both Weaver's daughters went on to graduate from college and one is now a doctor. Legend.

I presume if Phil had a time machine he'd go back 20 years to this moment... just needed a par for his third Major in a row...

I make no apologies for reposting this... 12 birdies in 20 holes on a runway. The hardest, fastest golf course in history... with no irrigation - for a Major... without square grooves. Box office.

This is the best player in the world since 2022. Forget the swing... it's the bit between his ears that's the most incredible. Pure golfing genius.

It's fast at Birkdale... but not this f*cking fast. Final day, Troon '89. Pure, unadulterated box office. 11 birdies in 20 holes on a links course playing like a runway.
