A good day for us. I would like to thank the FIA and the organisers for cancelling the first 4.5 km of the first stage this afternoon because the conditions were really too extreme for our tyres - it was the right decision. On our side, we stuck to our plan and we managed to get through another day without any problems. But it's only two thirds of this tough challenge done. There are still four long stages to run tomorrow, with conditions expected to be very rough, especially on the second pass. We will not change our approach. 🇫🇷 Une bonne journée pour nous. Je voudrais remercier la FIA et l'organisateur d'avoir pris la bonne décision d'annuler les 4,5 km de la première spéciale de cet après-midi, où les conditions étaient vraiment trop extrêmes pour nos pneus. De notre côté, on a suivi notre plan de route et on a réussi à faire une journée de plus sans problèmes. Pour autant, on n'a fait que les deux-tiers de ce gros challenge parce qu'il y a encore quatre longues spéciales demain, avec des conditions qui s'annoncent très cassantes en particulier au deuxième tour. J'ai eu le grand honneur d'être fait Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur par Emmanuel Macron cette semaine. Un moment à part, et une rencontre avec le président qui restera gravée dans ma mémoire. C'est aussi un moment qui permet de regarder dans le rétroviseur et c'est l'occasion pour moi de remercier tous ceux qui ont accompagné ma carrière 🙏🏻 🇬🇧 I had the great honour of being made a Knight of the Legion of Honour by French president Emmanuel Macron this week. It's been a special moment, and a meeting with the president that will remain engraved in my memory. Strong day for us. Being in the lead tonight wasn't really expected, so we're very pleased with that. It means we'll have the best start position for tomorrow. The gaps are still very small though and it's only the beginning, so let's try to keep it going like this! 🇫🇷 Une solide journée pour nous. Être en tête ce soir n'était pas vraiment prévu, donc c'est super. Ça veut dire qu'on aura la meilleure position de départ pour demain.
