Reflecting on an incredibly productive trip to Texas! I had the opportunity to meet with leaders & teammates UTEP, Joint Task Force Southern Border, 1st Armored Division, AFWERX, as well as the Borderplex Alliance, Texas Space Commission, and Greg Abbott. We covered a ton of ground to ensure the Department of the Air Force is postured for the future: ✅ Received updates on the joint task force, base operations & readiness. ✅ Affirmed ways to improve partnerships across commercial sectors & academia that accelerate capability development. ✅ Discussed the critical need for growing the @USSpacForce footprint. The commitment & cooperation between military, state leadership, and local innovators was clear. The way Texas’s infrastructure & talent pool will continue helping the DAF maintain a competitive edge - very clear! Huge thanks to everyone who hosted our team.
