This week, I joined Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, Dr. Oz CMS, and Erica Schwartz at NIH to open a historic clinic dedicated to studying and caring for patients experiencing health problems following vaccination. We must listen to patients and families who report vaccine injuries—not dismiss or gaslight them. President Trump and I are building a health system that takes them seriously, follows the evidence, and uses what we learn to make vaccines safer. This is how we earn back trust in our public health institutions.

America should lead the world in turning medical breakthroughs into treatments for patients. HHS is cutting the delays, duplication, and unnecessary costs that hold clinical trials back. Through ARPA-H, we are building a modern clinical trial system that generates rigorous evidence faster, reduces the burden on patients, and moves effective treatments from discovery to patients sooner.

The MAHA Strategy gave us a clear mission: investigate the relationship between electromagnetic radiation and health, identify gaps in our knowledge, and make sure federal policy keeps pace with rapidly changing technology. We promised to act, and today we are. We launched a formal Request for Information on radiofrequency and electromagnetic field emissions and their potential effects on human health. At HHS, we are taking bold new actions against Lyme disease, alpha-gal syndrome, and other tick-borne diseases—accelerating research, improving care, and driving new treatments. Millions of Americans need faster diagnoses, better care, and real answers. Thank you Dennis Quaid for lending your voice to this important cause and joining me in this video.

Reports coming out of Germany show a government sidelining patient autonomy and limiting people's abilities to act on their own convictions when they face medical decisions. That is why Friday, I sent a letter to Germany's Federal Minister of Health, Nina Workin. In my letter, I made it clear that Germany has the opportunity and the responsibility to correct this trajectory, to restore medical autonomy, to end politically motivated prosecutions, and to uphold the rights that anchor every democratic nation.

We reviewed the science, listened to the experts, and acted. BARDA is terminating 22 mRNA vaccine development investments because the data show these vaccines fail to protect effectively against upper respiratory infections like COVID and flu. We’re shifting that funding toward safer, broader vaccine platforms that remain effective even as viruses mutate.

Americans should know what their healthcare will cost before they receive it. President Trump directed us to bring real price transparency to healthcare, and HHS is delivering. These rules give patients clearer, more reliable information to compare costs, understand their coverage, and make informed decisions before they receive care.
