in the last three months i’ve seen a few dozen Atlas copycats, and none of them come even close to its speed. i have to admit, there’s a certain ux trick behind this speed, but no one seems to have noticed it yet. try yourself →

breaking news: atlas for iphone have been achieved internally. same engine, same quality, same speed. it’s fascinating how much bigger the world feels once you step outside the swiftui bubble.

a serious question: now that Atlas supports MCP, smart folders, semantic search, tags, filters, external folders, browser extensions, downloads from X and IG, grid, canvas, and infinity views, and is unquestionably the most elegant app in the category, what’s stopping you from switching to it? leave a reply, whatever it is, i’ll make sure it’s addressed in the coming weeks. (except for a windows app, sorry)

the goal is that by the end of the year, you’ll be able to save, import, preview, collect, group, sort, drag and drop, and share any type of content that’s important to you. meet Atlas v1.4.

this week, Atlas turns two months old, but since we’ll all be busy talking about the new iphones tomorrow, today feels like a good time to share some insights and reflections. over the last 60 days, atlas: - received 287 app updates (one every five hours, damn) - released 144 new features (based on Claude’s report, so take that with a grain of salt. maybe it’s just bragging) - implemented 137 improvements based directly on feedback sent through the app (thank you all 🙏) - generated $15K+ in revenue, with 55% (!) people returning after 21 days (aka D21 retention rate) atlas is now used by designers at Apple, OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, and SpaceX, alongside independent designers and content creators across 91 countries. i couldn’t be more grateful for all the support i’ve received over the last two months. the feedback so far has been incredible. it is the tool i’ve always wished existed. it’s built with care, respect for different workflows, and the flexibility to adapt to different ways of working. there are still plenty of rough edges, unpolished screens, imperfect animations, and things i want to improve. but i can’t wait to tackle them all. one by one. 🫶🏻 →

something i’ve been holding back for a while. two years ago, one of my biggest dreams came true: i got to work on interfaces for a movie starring Chris Pratt. together with Alex Bystrov, Slava Yaremenko and Misha Katz we designed Mercy OS, a fictional AI judge, for the film Mercy (2026).

one thing i’ve learned from building productivity apps is that everyone’s brain works differently. elements that motivate some people can distract others. that’s why, as we add more features to Joi Planner, we make sure you can mix and match features in a way that works for you.

okay, week 2, let's go. here's everything new in Atlas v1.2: → ⌘K menu (for quick navigation between collections, moving items around, and more) → folders! you can now create folders, move folders, move collections into folders, rearrange folders, group, ungroup, whatever (⌘+⌥+⇧+N or file → new folder) → save videos from X. just copy a link with video and paste to any collection. yep, just like that, works like magic, keeps the original post URL in inspector.

a few hours before the app release, i realized we didn’t have a landing page because i had been pushing that task further down my to-do list for weeks. so, i had less than an hour to quickly pull something together (i made it, thanks to the magic of Framer) what would you improve here?
