Just look at the terrible state of Nigeria. After a major accident reportedly involving Anthony Joshua, where two lives were lost, there was no visible emergency response; no ambulance, no proper medical care. Instead, he was made to sit upright in the front of a police van immediately after the crash, when basic safety protocol says an accident victim should be laid flat and stabilized. This is deeply troubling. It highlights how broken our emergency response and governance systems are. May Nigeria not happen to any of us. The country desperately needs help; especially in administration, structure, and good governance. This is too much.

Veekee James has announced that her baby registry is now open, people can now purchase gifts for her baby. She also thanked Kunle Remi and Chef T (DiaryOfAKitchenLover) for buying the baby massive gifts already. I only hope some miscreants won’t contribute now, only to use it to drag her later. This baby’s life is so soft already even before getting to earth. 💛

We blame the government for everything, but sometimes Nigerians are simply doing Nigerians. This guy is asking for ₦1 million a year for this matchbox. His biggest selling point? “It has a private entrance.” Oga, is the tenant supposed to live inside the entrance?

If it wasn’t Funke Felix-Adejumo saying all these things, would the women still be kiki-ing and cheering in church? This is why I appreciate consistency over bias. She’s also told men not to k!ll themselves trying to please a woman. Be a responsible man. Love, provide, and care for your family, but don’t destroy yourself trying to meet endless expectations. The truth is, no human being is ever completely satiable. Balance is important.

This KC Luxury story is a reminder that you really don’t know what you’re looking at on social media. NDLEA says it intercepted 184.5kg of cocaine in Lagos. The cartel allegedly hoped to make about ₦39 billion from it. The investigation led them to Afolabi Kazeem Michael, known online as KC Luxury. He presented himself as a luxury goods dealer and social media influencer. NDLEA says he was allegedly the Nigerian coordinator of the cartel. They caught him at the Lagos airport on August 13 as he was allegedly trying to flee to Paris on a business-class flight. A search of his luxury apartment in Banana Island also led to the recovery of exotic vehicles. Now here’s the part that should make us think. We spend so much time looking at people’s cars, watches, houses and designer clothes online. We see the lifestyle. We rarely ask about the business behind it. This is not me saying everyone showing wealth online is a criminal. Far from it. But when someone’s business cannot reasonably explain the lifestyle being displayed, why are we so quick to accept the lifestyle as proof of success? Social media has made many young people feel like they are failing because their lives don’t resemble somebody else’s Instagram page. Don’t chase a lifestyle you haven’t investigated. Good morning, fam💫💫
