Duleek based, Senator Sharon Keogan & Cllr Geraldine Keogan express their full and unequivocal condemnation of the actions of the individuals responsible for last night's arson attack in Duleek. Eight cars were set on fire with an accelerant in the car park of Nanny's Duleek. The attack seems to have been planned and focused. It is our understanding that three individuals were involved. One of the perpetrators sustained burning to his lower body clothing. He may require medical treatment. In the event that a person presented themselves for attention to doctors, pharmacists, or emergency hospital staff, please immediately notify Gardai. Our business community is anchored by Nanny's in Duleek. Since 2022, It has become one of the top pub restaurants in Meath. The management and staff are shocked by this incident, and it's important that as a community, we continue to support them. In recent years, the Duleek community has made a significant investment in crime prevention measures with our public CCTV, and we have faith in An Garda Síochána ability to identify the perpetrators. We extend our sincere appreciation to the emergency services for their prompt response last night in bringing the fire under control. Anyone with relevant information, CCTV recordings, or dashcam footage from 10:45p.m. to 11:15p.m. is requested to contact Ashbourne Garda Station on 999. #Arson #Duleek

I had a busy day today, but I finally made it up to O'Connell Street to meet with the protesters for Day 5. It was great to see some familiar faces from Meath, Cavan, and Louth. I had a wee chat with James Geoghegan. I hope he is well compensated by the media for defaming him. The atmosphere there is great: Gardaí on the ground are pleasant, and traffic is flowing—only O'Connell Street is blocked. Traffic on the Quays is flowing too. Hopefully, this government will put an end to these countrywide protests tomorrow with a package that benefits everyone. Keep it peaceful. #FuelProtests #MakeWorkPay

Approximately 1.2 million people in the European Union are currently seeking asylum. Ireland has six applications per 1,000 inhabitants—the third-highest rate in the EU. Also remember the 4.38 million non-EU citizens who fled Ukraine as a consequence of Russia’s war. Temporary Protection Applicants are never temporary. Ireland has 20 applications per 1,000 inhabitants. This #EUMigrationPact will fail and we will have no control over who comes into our country. #ImmigrationMadness

I commend all people who will exercise their democratic right and will vote as they are legally entitled to do so - in the privacy of the ballot box- for whoever they like or however they like. Do not sit at home, you can still make your voice heard. If you want, go out and spoil your vote. It may be dissident, but it is peaceful. It may be controversial, but it will ultimately be constructive. It is YOUR RIGHT, it is DEMOCRACY #Aras2025 #GoVote #CitizensRights

214,000 votes have made this lot wake up. No words are needed; we want action. Ireland can still #OptOut of #EUMigrationPact as we are under "migratory pressure". Spain, Poland, Greece, Netherlands and Italy are looking to Opt-Out. Finland & Sweden won't take any immigrants under the solidarity mechanism. So you can imagine the numbers Ireland will be expected to take, or pay €20K per person to send them elsewhere. The only solution for Ireland is: 1️⃣ Opt-Out of EU Migration Pact. 2️⃣ Build detention centres near airports. 3️⃣ Swift, 14 day processing. 4️⃣ Airlines carrying immigrants with no documents must pay €15,000 instead of the €5,000. #ResignHarris #MigrationMadness

The working poor are paying 5 star taxes for 3 star services. Corporation Tax has skyrocketed 10 fold since 2025. The money is there.Time to give the working man and woman a break! What you may not hear today is the hunger strike of Mary, Miriam, Maurice and Mary, who are on hunger strike and sleeping outside the houses of Leinster House seeking redress for the 4,500 survivors of institutional abuse. My goodness what sort of a country are we that can't give them a HAA medical card and a contributory pension? Instead let's build that centre of remembrance! This government is actually tone deaf to our own. #eldercare #HungerStrike
