On Yom HaShoah, we remember the more than six million Jews and others that lost their lives during the Holocaust. As a nation, America is committed to standing with our Jewish friends.

Enjoyed hosting my 2nd annual Federal Issues Forum at the Nebraska State Fair. Sen. John Barrasso and I highlighted fantastic features in the One Big Beautiful Bill. Lee Zeldin and I discussed important common-sense reforms to WOTUS and other EPA policies. Together, this administration and Senate Majority are getting America back on track! 🇺🇸

Unregulated, manufactured THC products have been intentionally designed to look like popular candy and chip brands. These products are poisoning our children. They are causing severe mental health issues. We have a responsibility to protect our children. Closing the life-threatening THC loophole is how we do it. I’m proud to join Senator Ted Budd in this fight for our children.

The OBBB included a new $6,000 tax deduction for each American 65 and over. This deduction will allow 88% of seniors to pay no income taxes on their Social Security benefits. That’s up to an estimated 265,000 Nebraska seniors. President Donald J. Trump and Senate Republicans promised to help seniors. We are keeping that promise.

Over 80% of Nebraska farms are family owned. They should stay that way. That’s why Senate Republicans permanently raised the death tax exemption as part of the Working Families Tax Cuts. Promises made, promises kept.

The Senate Republicans is working to get to 51 votes on reconciliation. But one thing is clear: we must avoid the $4 trillion tax increase on the American people that would come if we do not pass the One Big Beautiful Bill.

It’s only been a week since Tax Day, and Nebraskans are already seeing more money in their pockets! When I visited La Casa Pizzeria in Omaha, a restaurant manager shared the story of a waitress whose wages were incorrectly reported. Once corrections were made, she received an extra $1,500 in her tax returns because of the no tax on overtime provision. The Working Families Tax Cuts are working for Nebraskans!

Kawasaki has been in Lincoln for 50 years. They’re a fantastic example of manufacturing success in America. 3,000 Nebraskans earn their living here. The Working Families Tax Cuts will better support them and their families.

The Working Families Tax Cuts work for Nebraska. The first $25,000 of tips each year are tax free and $12,500 of overtime pay is free of federal income tax– allowing Nebraskans to keep more of what they earn.

Communist China is not a great trade partner. Nebraska has the highest quality soybeans and we must look for new markets to sell them to. That’s what my MARKET Act will do.

Nebraska families may see a higher return this tax season. The Working Families Tax Cuts prevented a tax hike, expanded the child tax credit, and increased the child and dependent care tax credit.

At a recent roundtable in Omaha, I met with restaurant owners about how the Working Families Tax Cuts benefits their workers. No tax on tips. No tax on overtime. These Working Families Tax Cuts will put more money in your pockets.

Great to have Elise Stefanik before the committee. I asked her about taxpayer funding reform within the U.N. and the risks the CCP poses to the U.S. I look forward to working with our new U.N. Ambassador on solving these issues and more.
