I'm Chesnyy, a Gov't qualified service dog in Canada. My job is taking care of my person, a bilateral amputee. I'm the successor to Kuno, disability spokesdog.

Shorts

🚨BREAKING: I, Chesnyy the world-famous Servicerottie, have been officially cancelled by Canadian Tire🚨 Took the humans on an emergency pre-blizzard supply run because apparently -20°C and more snow is “not ideal walking or wheelchair weather” (weak). Mission objectives: Score a jingly collar from the $4.99 clearance rack (nailed it, I look like a festive wind chime now) Watch human compare toilet paper like it’s a life-or-death decision (she spent 11 minutes debating “ultra plush” vs “mega roll”… ma'am this is not NASA) But the REAL reason we went? We brought the secret weapon: Kenji the 10-week-old fluffernutter puppy. Pistol’s dad got volunteered to push the cart so the little con artist could practice “socialization.” Socialization update: FAILED. Every single woman in the store (and I mean EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.) lost their damn minds. They swarmed the cart like it was giving out free Tim Hortons. Cooing. Baby-talking. Taking selfies. One lady literally said “I’m ovulating right now” (ma’am please seek help). Meanwhile I, Chesnyy, 95 lbs of pure black and tan muscle, perfect recall like a Marine, carrying my new jingly couture… was invisible. A ghost. A decorative floor rug in need of snacks. So yeah. I’m launching a side hustle: “Rent-A-Puppy” dating service. $50/hr, Kenji rides in the cart, you get approached by 47 women instantly. I sit beside him looking majestic and ignored, collecting my 10% sadness fee.Who wants in? Drop a ♥️ if you too have been outshined by an 18-pound chicken nugget that still gets scared by it's own farts. Tag a friend who needs this service immediately. #ServiceDogProblems #KenjiIsTheNewWingman #ChesnyyDeservesBetter #SendTreats 🎥 Me. Carrying my own shopping because I couldn't shove past the swarm of women to get to the cart

Admin Post: I'm super proud of Kenji! A local dog sport club held a rally obedience fun match today and the organizers ensured it was accessible so we could take part. Kenji has never done any kind of obedience or heelwork on grass before. The snow only left a couple of weeks ago and the ground has just dried up enough for a wheelchair. He's also never done a full rally obedience course, and he's never been to a dog event anywhere other than where we train. So there were loads of distractions, smells and new experiences. And he was absolutely amazing. He did every maneuver required on the course. Sure, he had some crooked sits and was a bit out of position a few times, but that will get better with more practice. What really mattered was his willingness, his responsiveness, and how he handled being in a new situation with all sorts of different stimuli. And he did great. There's a LOT of barriers when it comes to training a dog from a wheelchair. In winter we're limited to indoors or pavement and concrete where snow has been removed so when we can finally get off the sidewalk and into parks and fields, every sight and smell is super exciting. It's also really hard to find outdoor grassy areas that are level and have short, dry grass that is easy to roll on. Even a lot of indoor dog training facilities have really poor accessibility making it a challenge to train in different environments around many different dogs. Despite all that, we manage to be quite successful. Even though he sometimes trips over his massive paws, is growing so fast he often doesn't know how much space he takes up, and has had limited exposure to many things, he has a great temperament, incredible work ethic, and so much intelligence. He's going to be amazing. ❤️ 🎥 Kenji on a rally obedience course #rottweilers #puppytraining #DogsOfX

I had to miss today's rally obedience trials because I munched on some dead yard foliage, made 🤮 all over at 3 a.m., and the human had to sit up and cuddle me. This caused the moosepuppy to have a case of Fomo and start singing because he wanted to have cuddle wrestles. Nobody slept until the sun came out. The human decided we needed to stay home today and get some rest. Seriously? Look at me!!! I would have been a rockstar in the ring today! Now I have to wait until tomorrow for the bowl of chicken I get for finishing a round! And my breakfast was late!!! The lesson here? Only do middle of the night hurling on weeknights.

It's Maple's last supper with us. She goes home tonight. She's been exposed to people, traffic, kids, had lots of handling, and learned a few things. I'll miss her. But I heard her sister Mallory is coming for a visit next! You'll love Mallory! #PuppyLove Video description for inclusivity: Chesnyy and Maple sitting together. Chesnyy is asked to give a hug so she puts a paw over Maple's shoulder.

Sometimes we get asked if our videos are AI. Nope. It's me & my human in her wheelchair doing most of our videoing. While AI can make some really cute stuff, there's something pretty special about real dogs doing real things. Drop a ♥️ if you agree Rt if I deserve a cookie #DogLovers #DogTraining Video description for inclusivity: Chesnyy the Servicerottie sits on a pillar and waves paws on cue. My baby mooseweiler brother, Kenji, lost his blueberry this morning. It rolled under the fridge.🤣 His giant paws barely fit under the fridge door but that didn't deter him. Rescue efforts kept him busy for 5 whole minutes. Spoiler alert: he did not rescue the blueberry but I enjoyed not being chewed on for awhile. 🎥 Failed blueberry rescue #KenjiChaos #BlueberryDown #RottieLife

My baby brother AKA the oversized Pork roast, needs extra hugs. He just survived having his moose paws being attacked with a rotary tool. He just laid there and asked for belly rubs the entire time! Not even a dramatic whine. I'm a little bit proud of him, but don't tell him—if his ego gets any bigger his head won't fit through the door. #KenjiChaos #RottweilerSiblings #SurvivedNailTrims

If you've followed us awhile, you'll remember Maple, the lab puppy we had stay with us for some socialization and exposure. Today we went to visit her, and the other labs so Kenji could have some positive experiences meeting other new dogs. Look how big Maple got!!! 🎥 Maple and Kenji meet

I lost my wag! Seriously. I had so much fun and was so happy playing with friends in my new yard that I strained my butt wiggle muscles and can't wag or stand my tail up. The vet called it Swimmers tail even though I wasn't swimming. It happens when tails propel water too hard, or in my case, wag too much. I'll be okay. The vet said a few days of anti inflammatories and my wiggle and wag will be back to normal. I guess I was just really, really happy.❤️ Video description for inclusivity: Chesnyy turns in a circle and gets a cookie. Her normal happy tail hangs low.

🦴✨ **Breaking News: The Mooseweiler Finally Gets It (Thanks to Me)** ✨🦴 Listen up! I have an important announcement from the top of the couch: My brother baby rottie Kenji (aka The Mooseweiler, aka my oversized shadow with zero chill and even less coordination) just learned how to pick up his toy and actually PUT IT IN THE BOX like a real dog instead of a confused moose. Yes, yes, clap for him. I’ll wait… still waiting… okay, that’s enough. The human is over here rolling around like she just invented dog training. “Look what *I* taught him!!” she keeps saying, beaming with those victory selfies and acting like the kibble fairy godmother. Bless her sweet, optimistic heart. Sure, she did the whole beginner routine: scattered a couple pieces of kibble in the box so he’d shove his giant moose snout in there, had him nose-push the toy inside, then outside, then the grand finale — “pick it up and try not to yeet it sideways onto the box like a total amateur.” That last part took… several attempts. Because apparently my little brother thinks boxes are for leaning on, not actually putting things *in*. But let’s keep it real. What actually happened. The moment I casually strolled over, hit him with the patented Chesnyy Side-Eye of Wisdom™, picked up my own toy, and dropped it in the box clean as a pro… …boom. Lightbulb 💡 finally flickered on in that big, beautiful, empty-headed Rottie skull of his. He copied me. Obviously. Who wouldn’t? I’m basically the Einstein of the household — better hips, superior sass, and zero need for three rounds of kibble bribery just to do something this simple. So congratulations, Kenji the Mooseweiler, for finally mastering the sacred art of “toy goes in box”… all thanks to your brilliant, patient, and extremely talented older sister’s demonstration. You’re welcome, little bro. Try to keep up next time without the dramatic side-lay fail reel and all that confused moose energy. The human can keep taking the credit if it makes her happy. We both know who the real teacher is around here. Big sister supremacy remains undefeated. 🏆🐾 🎥 Video evidence that he's actually teachable #ChesnyyTheServicerottie #KenjiTheMooseweiler #BigSisterDidItFirst #ServiceRottieWisdom #ToyInTheBoxChallenge #MooseCopycat

The human made homemade pizza last night, so she's getting pizza leftovers for breakfast. All I got was kibble! How is that fair? On a side note, I'm perfecting the art of holding plates of food so I can deliver everyone a cookie at Christmas dinner this year! It's way harder to carry a plate or tray than you think. Be sure to tip your servers well this holiday season! #GoodestGirl 🎥 Me holding pizza on a small cutting board.

It's nail night! This little man has huge paws and fast growing nails. He's been carefully introduced to the Dremel and doesn't fear it all. However sitting still long enough is a challenge for him so instead of spending a lot of time getting them really short, he gets just a little buzzed off and a bite of chicken or other high value treat every nail. Because it's a fast session they get done at least once a week. We start off with a quick sniff and paw touches on the Dremel so he's reminded it's a safe thing and essential to getting the treats. As he gets older and has more patience, he'll get longer, better trims and they won't need to be done as often but short sessions now keep him from getting frustrated and starting to really dislike the process. You really don't want an adult 120 pound rottweiler hating nail trims. #PuppyLife 🎥 Kenji doing his pre-pawdicure routine

I'm Chesnyy—CKC high-point Rottweiler in rally obedience for the last two years. 🏆🐾 But last season was ruff. Static from the wheelchair tires caused shocks when I heeled, and twice the floor mats caught in the castors and the entire floor started to chase me...I started getting suspicious any time we went in a ring. It didn't feel fun anymore. And there were a lot of other life changes last year so we were already dealing with stress. And trust me, us dogs can smell human stress a mile away and it does affect us. We took the fall and winter off from trials—no rings, no judges. Just my regular work days, treats, snoozes, and puppy adventures. Now we're back: we're easing our way in. Instead of going right back to Master level rounds, we're starting back at intermediate AND advanced rounds this weekend. This will make sure neither the human or I get too stressed. And yeah—we're the only wheelchair-handler team around so sometimes between travel, unloading, set-up, and dealing with accessibility challenges she's already running on empty before we hit the ring entrance. This practice 🎥? Tail doing happy waves, grin locked in. No zaps, no floor monsters—just happy paws and us owning it. If this makes you smile, hit like or share? Helps us keep rolling. (Bacon still welcome, though.) 💕 #RallyObedience #WheelchairTeam #CKCTopDog #RottieComeback

One wrong lean from a power wheelchair to grab an Amazon package? Boom💥—falling hazard, butt hits frozen ground, potential disaster for my human. Holding a door + awkward maneuvers on ramp + leaning over flailing an arm trying to grab a package = high-risk mission. It's my time to shine. Watch me handle it🐕‍🦺: Door held open. I strut out like I own the ramp (because I basically do), snatch the small package—sashay back inside past her with "excuse me, hero coming through" energy, execute a flawless turn, and place it gently in her hand. Boom. No butt-on-ground incidents today. Her face goes from tense to that soft, grateful glow, eyes saying "You just saved my dignity, you magnificent beast." I melt. Every. Time. There's going to be ear scritches coming up.❤️🐾 That's us: turning potential wipeouts into "we got this" cuddles. My absolute favorite gig. ALSO...meet the under-ramp squatter: a rogue rabbit who's claimed the spot as his zero-rent winter palace 🐇. Every trip, he's just... there. Lounging like he invented cozy. I give him the barest half-second side-eye—like noticing a stray leaf—and keep rolling. I could evict him with a single bark or chase him off the property, but I have more important business. He's irrelevant. A fuzzy dust collector with delusions of grandeur. I fetch packages and save butts. He... exists. Not my problem, fluff-for-brains. Being my human's safety net in these everyday battles? It's not just service—it's my love language. She's my whole world on wheels, and every gentle hand-off feels like "I've got you, always." Heart full. Tail wagging. 🐾❤️🐕‍🦺 🎥 attached—share if I made your heart smile today. 🐾♥️ Ohmydogness! I went with the human to Costco tonight and it was the BEST TIME! There was a giant pile of bags of beef liver treats! We ran into Detective Dug 🇨🇦 and Cloe_Bear's dad there and he helped put bags of liver treats into our cart! BAGS! They were on sale!!! So my human splurged and got extras!!! Then we got my gingerbread house kit!! This really is the most wonderful time of the year!!! 🎄AND IT GETS BETTER‼️ We ran into 🐾🐾 Cole & Co. 🐾🐾's mom!! Cole was Kuno's half brother. So it was like a mini reunion in the land of liver treats!!! 🐾♥️ The only not so pawsome part was that my human said the remote control Ferrari that was just the right size for me to ride in was too expensive. And she didn't think I should get an electronic drum kit either. But I can't complain... because there's bags of beef liver treats and I'm the only one in the house that eats them so they must be all for me!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊🐾♥️ #BestDay #SoManyTreats

A week ago, I took Kuno to the emergency animal hospital. I burst into tears when we got there because it was obvious he was hurting. I've experienced a lot of physical pain in my life, but the gut-wrenching feeling that comes with seeing a dog you love in pain is right up there. I expected them to medicate him for pain, maybe give him a shot for nausea. I never pictured he wouldn't come home with me. Our relationship was different than most. We learned all about wheelchair life together. Everything from fighting our way through doors and getting stuck in snow and on dilapidated sidewalks to traveling the prairies to dog shows together. When I hung my head ashamed because I couldn't get into a place, he said, "Fluff this," and walked proudly beside me. He dried a lot of tears and brought many smiles and a lot of laughter. He wasn't a well bred dog. He certainly wasn't the most athletic. He was very intelligent, though. His one flaw was he sometimes lacked confidence, the result of me being over careful as a new wheelchair user, but we regained much of that. He followed me everywhere and watched me lovingly. He breathed life into my soul that I didn't think I'd ever feel again. My life is infinitely better because of him and the lessons he taught me. Losing him is hard. Everything I've managed to learn, do, and achieve since losing the ability to walk was because of him. Literally everything. We came so far together, and I'm a much better, stronger person because of him. The one thing that makes this loss easier is knowing how loved he was. Not just by me, but by anyone who knew him. I'm still amazed and humbled by how many lives he touched. The best thing I ever did for him was really learn to read his body language. I could tell by the flick of his tongue when he needed a second to just check out our surroundings before proceeding. I knew by his ear positions if he was unimpressed by my actions. He'd do whatever I asked anyhow, but by really learning his language, I was able to adjust to his needs to make him as happy as possible. If there's one thing you can do to make your dog's life better, it's to learn how they communicate and respect them when they tell you they need a moment or a little space. Get to know their tail positions, their earset, how they breathe when they're problem solving or thinking, and understand the yawns, the lip licking, and their appeasement behaviors. It takes time, but it will make your relationship with your dog so much better. I may not know your dog, but I know they're worth it. #LessonsFromKuno Video description for inclusivity: clips of Kuno's life and adventures

🫎 🪿 The sky had just turned light when my baby brother, Kenji the Mooseweiler, decided to wake up the household by holding his stuffed goose in his mouth and honking it. Over and over. And Over. I opened one sleepy eye to see him standing there proudly honking away like he was performing the National Anthem at a sporting event. I could have happily slept until much closer to breakfast time, but nooooo. Because the oversized Pork Roast's honking woke humans, he was taken outside for a ridiculously early potty break. And humans seem to think when one dog needs to go out, all dogs need to go out. The humans think wrong. I did not need to go out. What I needed was to resume my dream of staying at a luxury resort where I was in the pool doggy paddling my way to the swim up cheese bar. 🧀 Instead I was expected to get up and head outside to keep Kenji company while he did his morning business. I reluctantly rose from my super comfy bed and did the obligatory big stretch, which was NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED!! Then I headed outside where the honker was waiting for me. I went directly into the potty area, squatted and did my business promptly like a good girl. Kenji did 17 laps sniffing the yard, tripped over the pool and nearly fell in it, and then finally lifted a leg on a tree. Another 17 laps and he squatted his moose caboose and did the other part of his business. It was obvious this wasn't an urgent potty situation and that we both could have continued our peaceful slumbers for at least another hour. Because he was taking so long the human had to come outside and do a welfare check. Once she determined we were both present and still alive, she thought it would be fun to work on teaching baby rottie Kenji to give me hugs. Once again she thought wrong. It was not fun. For the right price I'll happily put a paw around him. However I absawoofly do not want his giant clumsy clownpaws randomly smacking me as he tries to figure out where to put them. To make it even more insulting, after the uncoordinated chaos goblin played whack-a-mole on my head, I discovered the human had no treats!! And do you think breakfast was served early when we went back inside? Nope. Not a single morsel. I am now going to nap until I hear the sound of food. And if I hear the sound of Kenji honking that goose, I will repossess it and skillfully extract it's squeaker. 🪿😴 🎥 Feeble hug attempts #HonkingRottie #GooseWakeUpCall #MooseWithGoose #ChesnyyWantsSleep #SendTreatsNotGeese

When your baby brother who's literally the size of a cooked Christmas turkey thinks he’s the boss of the house, but you’re a 100lb “please, make better choices” machine💪🐾 I was literally just standing there, vibing, existing in peace. This tiny menace comes flying in for a surprise chomp — one casual paw swipe and I accidentally yeeted him across the room like he was a curling rock on ice. He pops back up like a jack-in-the-box on steroids, charges for the full-body slam — hits me and bounces off like a tennis ball off a garage door. I give him the gentlest “kindly fluff off” correction known to dogkind — he flops, rolls over, and immediately pulls the Academy Award victim routine: big eyes, dramatic sigh, “why meeee?” The human steps in and sends us across the room and suggests we meditate as our antics are interrupting her Christmas baking marathon. Does the little terrorist reflect? Nope. He spends the next forever barking pure disrespect as he follows me around: “Old lady!” “Grandma!” “You’re too slow, fossil!” So I stroll over, pick up HIS holy tug rope (the one he’d fight a bear for), and just… hold it. Nice and high. Zero effort. Kenji absolutely loses his marbles. Popcorn jumps, helicopter spins, grunt-screaming like he’s trying to start a lawnmower, tiny Scrappy Doo legs paddling the air, tongue flapping like a flag in a hurricane. He clamps on, pulls with every ounce of his dramatic little soul…Rope doesn’t even twitch. I’m over here daydreaming about treats while he slowly melts into a sweaty, panting heap of defeated puppy. Moral of the story, Kenji: Keep testing Big Sis and you’ll keep collecting these free, gentle life lessons in glorious 4K. Love you anyway, rutabaga gremlin. #Servicerottie #RottweilerLife #BigSisterEnergy #KenjiTheMenace #TugOfWarFail #SiblingShenaniigans #InterwoofComedy 🎥 Evidence of the fluff I put up with

🐾I'm Chesnyy, a highly trained Service Rottweiler, and I'm filing an official complaint about today’s “family photo” session. 📸 The Human: “Chesnyy, just put your paw over Kenji’s shoulder and act like you love your little brother for five seconds.”🐶♥️ Me: Approaches with the patience of a saint. Gently places paw on shoulder like I’m diffusing a bomb.💣 Kenji: Immediately transforms into a greased eel on a Red Bull binge. Wiggles, spins, attempts to eat my entire leg. Me: Okay, reposition #1. Reposition #2 through #47. Still looks like I’m trying to hug a blender set to “puree.” Kenji: Now adding interpretive dance and occasional attempted murder of my paw. And my face. Me: Fine. Diplomacy has failed. → Big sister protocol engaged: Hook paw under his chest, drag him across the floor like a stubborn Roomba, flip him flat on his back with extreme prejudice. Pin. Stare directly into his tiny chaotic soul until he submits. The Human: click 📸“Perfect! Got it!” Translation: The photo looks adorable. Kenji appears sweet and innocent. I look like the calm, loving big sister. The truth? I just performed a hostage negotiation with a furry tornado. 🌪️ Reward for my heroic efforts? One cookie tossed across the room so I could finally release the kraken and chase it in peace. Little brothers are proof that evolution has a sense of humor. Who else is stuck wrangling a pint-sized terrorist disguised as a puppy? Drop your “sibling takedown” videos below—I need evidence I’m not the only one living this nightmare. Funniest chaos clip gets a RT (The human owes me). Let’s make this thread blow up! 💣💥 #Rottweiler #ServiceDog #PuppyChaos #BigSisterLife #KenjiTheMenace #DogVideos #FunnyDogs 🎥 Family photo time

Let's have some fun! We want you to try to write the conversation between Chesnyy and Kenji in this video! She's enjoying time with her new Jumbo Lambchop Stuffy when baby rottie Kenji comes and grabs it. With some encouragement from me (admin) she takes it back very politely then hugs it under her neck so it's safe. And adorable. Their discussion is short. It's only about a minute of video so a couple of sentences each. Keep it PG, no slurs or profanity. And make it super funny or ridiculously adorable. Or both. A little fun background info. Chesnyy has not had a stuffy from the sheep family since she went through Hannibal Lecter era and was committing the Silence of the Lambchops. She would tear the faces off of sheep stuffies. Lambchops, Shaun the Sheep, and even the little sleeping lamb with the heartbeat in it to calm puppies. All victims of her obsession with sheep faces. Many of those victims had their faces handsewn back on, only be torn off with her teeth again. Oddly enough, only sheep suffered this fate. The other stuffies were played with and cuddled and loved. Sure, some lost limbs in a tug game, or accidentally got sliced open by a tooth, but none of them ever had her intentionally try to rip part of them off. She's 3 years old now and it seems her desire is to protect Lambchop, not deface it. Maybe. Put your suggestions in the comments below before Monday at midnight. We'll review them, pick our favorites and probably do a poll on those, then make the super edited video. ♥️🐾♥️ Admin
