His name is Abu Harūn — a man who’s become the face of patience in Palestine, and likewise mesmerized the world with his display of patience in the face of heart shattering tragedy. A couple years back, his young child, not even reaching the age of 4 years, was crushed by a car that was being driven by a woman who didn’t wear the hijab at the time. As recompense for her action and a condition for him forgiving her, he required that she begin wearing the hijab. Yesterday he lost his toddler to a car wreck, and today he lost his son due to the bombing of the zionists — only to show such exemplary patience. May Allah accept all our brothers and sisters as Martyrs, and grant their remaining loved ones a beautiful patience.

The sister mentioned in this clip has been sentenced to a year in prison in her country of origin. Only a teenager, she’s one of my most devoted students of knowledge. She would spend most of her free-time translating the work of my Father and I into the Deutsch language. She was also supervising the Deutsche Übersetzungen für Sh. May Allah reward the luminous faces of my dearly beloved Muslims in the Maldives! Though oceans and vast distances lie between them and #Gaza, and though they themselves may be weathering their own trials, they have illuminated the heart of this Ummah with a compassion that transcends borders, tongues, and lands. They have reminded us that la ilaha illAllah binds hearts more firmly than blood or lineage, and they have embodied and exemplified the meaning of the Prophet’s ﷺ words: that the believers are like one body—when one limb suffers, the entire body responds with sleeplessness and fever. Their solidarity, their generosity, and their unwavering empathy stand as a radiant testament to the mercy and unity that define this noble Ummah. "If you turn away, He will replace you with another people. And they will not be like you." (47:38) May Allah accept their efforts, elevate their ranks, and place abundant barakah in their lives and families.
