I honestly thought the NIL started kids would pick schools solely off of their NIL deal with said brand. That is definitely not the case! Cooper Flagg- Duke (New Balance Athlete) Tyran Stokes- Kansas (Nike NIL Athlete) Jordan Smith Jr.- Arkansas (New Balance NIL Athlete) Caleb Holt- Arizona (Adidas NIL Athlete)

D3 or JUCO? As a former D3 athlete I can relate to kids not wanting to go D3 at first… but that’s basically all because of perception. The truth is D3s have some of the best schools in the country. This is also a regional topic because a kid in Texas is probably more likely to go JUCO than a kid from New England where we grow up on D3 being around. Would love to hear you guys thoughts!

People just have to realize there’s different levels of “AAU” I think the general public sees the content creators team and stuff like that and group that with EYBL, 3SSB etc. I think the content stuff is fire in its own right, but it’s drastically different than the real thing.

Got to witness the first ever Nike EYBL “city series.” Of course we know the DMV is known for hoops… but for the community to be able to come see almost every top player in the area hoop in their backyard is special! A lot of the times EYBL guess don’t play together during the HS season so this is the best possible hoops! Big ups to the Nike team for this!

The reality is that kids from small towns are looked down on. It’s unfair… but true. Josh Charlot went to Notre Dame in Fairfield CT. Two time all state. No offers. Announces he’s going to Cushing Academy and plays for NY Rens. Gets an offer from Fairfield (A school down the street from his old school) Sometimes you just need a bigger platform 🤷🏾♂️

There will be new changes to the Overtime Elite League next year. Goodbye to the on campus teams… they are moving towards a “prep league” model with elite basketball academies across the country. - Equal NIL opportunity - Equal coverage - Travel & expenses taken care of Will we get to see OTE teams compete for chipotle nationals now 👀

Putnam Science Academy going to OTE is huge! Elite level HS is going to look real different going forward. Less guys going pro. Potential 5 years of eligibility in College. It will trickle down! Brands are noticing and are getting in on the talent earlier than ever!
