You have a solution for dirty air, garbage on our streets, pollution or a problem that millions of Indians face. You don’t have to knock on a hundred doors. The government could be your first customer. Minister Priyank Kharge / ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ್ ಖರ್ಗೆ said this at TechSparks. Think about what this could mean for a young innovator in a small town with a big idea. Solve a real problem. Get the government to back your solution. Take it to millions of people. Imagine the possibilities if we made this happen at scale. Now, THAT would be a game changer. #TechSparks

Your first business could become someone else's first job. Now imagine a million people finding the courage to begin. That is the Bharat I see. India's next million entrepreneurs are already in our districts and small towns. They have the ideas and the hunger. What they lack is a starting point. Bharat mein talent ki kami nahi hai. Sahi guidance aur mauke har kisi tak pahunchne chahiye. For 18 years, through YourStory, I have learnt from people across this country. Bharat bhar se seekha hai. Ab is seekh ko aapke kaam lana hai. ShuruKar is that commitment. A district level movement that turns local problems into local enterprises, with guidance, mentoring and funding for anyone who wants to begin. Whether you have an idea and don't know the first step, or a business that isn't growing, there is a place for you here. And if you have already built something, your experience, your network, or even becoming someone's first customer can help another person begin. If you've been waiting for someone to say, "Haan, tum bhi kar sakte ho," your Shradha Didi is saying it today. 🙂 ShuruKar launches on 10th October at Gyan Bhawan, Patna. I will be in Patna from the 7th to the 10th. Come find me. Bring your idea. Bring your experience. Help someone begin. Hokar Nidar, Shuru Kar. #ShuruKar #Bharat

Every year, Bihar floods. Every year, we witness the same devastation, the same loss, and the same helplessness. But for how long? How long will we continue to accept this as our destiny? Meet Prashant. Instead of accepting floods as an inevitable part of life in Bihar, he has developed an innovative solution to help communities live more safely with them. His idea deserves more than recognition. It deserves the opportunity to reach communities across Bihar. I stand with Prashant. But people like him should not have to fight these battles alone. We need to come together to ensure that promising ideas get the support they deserve. And I don't want just one Prashant. I want hundreds of Prashants emerging from every district of Bihar. People who understand the challenges of their communities, dare to think differently, and have the courage to build solutions. If you have an idea to address flooding, or any other challenge facing Bihar, write to me. Through ShuruKar, we want to help you turn that idea into action. As someone who comes from Bihar, I believe that the future of our state is not someone else's responsibility. It belongs to all of us. I don't want Bihar to be known only for the problems it faces. I want it to be known for the people who refuse to give up on solving them. And somewhere in Bihar, the next Prashant is already working on an idea that could change thousands of lives. We need to find them. We need to believe in them. We need to back them. See you on 10th October in Patna. होकर निडर, शुरू कर। ❤️

Kya kar sakte hain? What good are a million dreams if we don’t do enough to help them come true? Yesterday, I met specially abled children at a school in Patna. The dreams in their eyes and their desire to do something big in life truly moved me. Many asked for computers for their school. I promised to arrange them from my own side. But we can do so much more. If you have an idea, a technology or a solution that can make their lives better, please reach out. Let’s work together to turn their dreams into reality. See you tomorrow at 10 AM at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science City, Patna. ❤️ #ShuruKar

Have you ever thought of starting something of your own? We asked young people from different walks of life. Many had. Then came the harder question: what’s stopping you? The answers touched on money, stability, paperwork, finding customers and knowing where to begin. Beneath them was something I’ve heard across Bharat for 18 years: the desire to build is there, but too often people are left to figure out the first step alone. That is why we’re building ShuruKar: an ecosystem to ask the questions that come with starting up, get guidance, and work out what to do next. ShuruKar launches on 10 October at Gyan Bhawan, Patna. If an idea has been on your mind, bring it along. As your Shradha Didi, I want to help you take that first step. Hokar Nidar, Shuru Kar.

Shuru karne ke baad bhi, sawaal khatam nahi hote. Sometimes, that is when you need guidance the most. You have taken the first step. People are counting on you. And now there are decisions you have never had to make before. You should be able to say, “Mujhe yeh samajh nahi aa raha,” and find someone willing to listen and work through it with you. Eighteen years of YourStory have taught me to take these moments seriously. A question about a business can carry years of someone’s savings, their family’s expectations, their confidence in themselves. It deserves time, care and honest guidance. That learning is shaping how we build ShuruKar. This is a movement to support aspiring entrepreneurs as they develop their ideas, find their first customers and learn to run their businesses. We want to create workshops where you can learn, drive conversations where you can ask freely, and offer practical support when registration, legal complexities or compliance feel unfamiliar. I want someone building in a small town to feel they have people to turn to. I want them to know their questions will be taken seriously. And I hope those of us who have experience will make time for this work. We know how much a thoughtful conversation or timely advice can matter. There is so much we can help someone figure out. Bharat has been my teacher for 18 years. I am bringing that learning, and a willingness to keep learning with you, to ShuruKar. We launch on 10 October at Gyan Bhawan, Patna. I’ll be in Patna from 7 to 10 October, and I would love to meet you. Hokar Nidar, Shuru Kar.

India has announced many ambitious missions. Few have moved from policy to production this fast. India launched the India Semiconductor Mission in 2022. And today we have- 12 semiconductor plants approved. ₹1.64 lakh crore in investments committed. 3 plants already in commercial production. And Semicon 2.0 has arrived, with another ₹ 1.27 lakh crore behind it. Ahead of Semicon India 2026, I sat down with Amitesh Kumar Sinha, CEO of the India Semiconductor Mission, to understand what comes next for the country. The policy shift he revealed was this: - The government of India will now invest in chip startups alongside VCs. Rupee for rupee, on the same terms as the fund. It shares the upside. It shares the risk. If the startup gets acquired, it takes its share like any other investor and puts that money behind the next founder. One story Amitesh Sir told me shows how far we have come in the last 4 years - In 2022, India asked SEMI (the global body that runs Semicon conferences around the world) to hold one in India. The answer was, in effect, no. There was no industry. So ISM ran Semicon 2022 and 2023 on its own. This week SEMI co-hosts Semicon India for the third year running, with more than 600 exhibitors and over 50 countries. But what stayed with me the most was not the money or the number of plants. It was the women working on the semiconductor packaging lines in Sanand. Women from Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, and the Northeast, many of whom had never heard the word "semiconductor" before coming there. Today, they can explain chip packaging like engineers. Not only are factories being built. Not only is capital being deployed. But young Indians from small towns are acquiring extraordinary new capabilities. My full conversation with Amitesh Kumar Sinha is here See you at Semicon India 2026 this week :-) I'll be there and look forward to meeting you.

Honestly, I'll take a builder over a commentator any day. That's exactly what India is getting right in education now. Aadhaar. UPI. FASTag. Nandan Nilekani didn't just show up; he showed how. Now he will bring that same get-it-done mindset to exam reform. Millions of futures on the line. Great move by PM Narendra Modi for the youth of our country. Right builder. Right time. Btw, here's my 2-year-old chat with Nandan Nilekani on the future of learning.

You know Fabindia. Do you know the story behind it? What does it mean to have an Indian identity today? How did a brand built around India’s artisans, craft and culture become one of the country’s most iconic consumer brands? I sat down with William Bissell, MD of Fabindia to understand the journey behind the brand, the choices, the philosophy, and what it takes to build something that remains unmistakably Indian. This story is worth watching. On the eve of India's independence day do watch the full conversation here -

1 Lakh Jobs. One New Industry. Could this lead to new job opportunities? SEMICON India 2026 is here, and the numbers are only the opening act. ₹1 lakh crore in fresh investment commitments. Close to 1 lakh new jobs. 11 MoUs signed. 5 major announcements. 12 chip projects already approved. But the real story isn't the numbers. It's the shift underneath them. India is moving from building fabs to building an entire semiconductor ecosystem. From policy on paper to production on the ground. ISM 2.0 now stands on six pillars: design, materials, fabs, advanced packaging, R&D and talent. And the next layer is already taking shape: 200 semiconductor design startups 1 lakh technicians to be trained 6 new ChipIN Regional Centres India is no longer preparing to enter the global chip race. India is already in it. 🇮🇳 To understand what this moment really means, how the policy went operational in less than 4 years to reach this scale, and what lies ahead for India's growth story, I sat down with MeitY Secretary S Krishnan for a conversation that goes behind the headlines. Do watch the full interview below 👇 #SEMICONIndia2026 #Semiconductors #India

Two years back, I slipped and fractured my hand because of a broken drain cover around Ulsoor Lake. For many of us a broken and unlivable city is a reality. Traffic. Flooding. Pollution. Broken infrastructure. When I had just about given up on what can change, I found hope. My conversation with Krishna Byre Gowda is not about politics. It is about governance. It is about execution. It is about what happens when someone chooses to solve problems instead of merely talking about them. Whether you live in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata or any Indian city, this conversation matters. Because if one city can become more liveable, every city can. If you’re a young Indian wondering whether public service can still create real change, watch this. If you’re building India in any way, as a founder, citizen, student, policymaker, or professional, watch this. We spend enough time amplifying what’s broken. It’s time we also amplify people who are trying to build. This is one of the most important conversations I’ve had this year. Watch it. Share it. Let’s make stories of builders go as viral as stories of outrage. Bringing to you “The Nation Builders” Krishna Byre Gowda
