The Lahore–Bahawalnagar Motorway Rs465 billion is being advanced as a provincial highway using federal PSDP funds, diverting resources from national strategic projects like M-6 the Karakoram Highway and ML-1. This is a clear violation of the National Fiscal Pact. Development must follow law, not political convenience. I met Ibrahim’s family today and conveyed my heartfelt condolences. As a mother, my heart aches for their unbearable loss. No parent should ever endure such grief. The whole nation mourns Ibrahim. I am relieved that the Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken strict action, suspending officials and ordering a full inquiry. Thank you Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui for your sincere apology. May we ensure that no child is ever failed like this again. #Ibrahim

In the name of “pollen allergy,” entire green belts in Islamabad are being cut down without any Environmental Impact Assessment, without transparency, and without scientific basis. This is not environmental management; it is environmental abuse. No country in the world including Australia, New Zealand, US or Japan cuts down whole urban forests to address allergies. Tree removal there is selective and evidence-based. Using pollen as a pretext to wipe out Islamabad’s green buffers is not development; it is ecological vandalism. Honoured and proud to present the Domestic Violence Prevention and Protection Bill 2025, a law that protects women, men, children, transgender persons and every vulnerable individual facing abuse & violence. Grateful to my chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, my PPP family for always giving me the space and strength to work on people-specific, rights-based legislation. It was unfortunate to see opposition from the JUIF ladies in the National Assembly, but I take it with a pinch of salt. This bill is for everyone and it deserved their support. I hope and pray that my colleagues will ensure that this bill sails through from the Senate with an overwhelming majority. I dedicate this milestone to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, my forever ideal, whose unwavering commitment to justice and women’s safety and rights continues to inspire every step I take. #PPP #DomesticViolenceBill2025 #BenazirBhutto #WomenRights #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Aseefa B Zardari Bakhtawar B-Zardari Faryal Talpur Pakistan Peoples Party - PPP

Yesterday in Question Hour, I raised serious concerns over PIA’s staggering Rs720 billion losses and the recent Rs24 billion so-called “bridge financing,” of which Rs17 billion has been shifted from PIACL to the holding company PIAHCL. The government failed to answer a basic question: who will ultimately bear this burden, the national exchequer or the public? There was also no clarity on route rationalization, fleet modernization, or addressing deep structural issues in the aviation sector. Injecting funds without a transparent recovery plan is not reform; it is postponing collapse. Pakistan deserves answers, transparency, and a credible roadmap for PIA’s revival. #PIA #PublicMoney #Accountability #Pakistan #Parliament #NationalAssembly Government of Pakistan @PIDGovPK @MORAviationPK PIA National Assembly 🇵🇰 Porras Pictures Prod PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

I moved the NADRA (Amendment) Bill, 2025 to address a long-standing hardship faced by senior citizens. Many elderly Pakistanis already hold valid NICs but are denied renewal because they are asked to produce documents dating back to before 1978, records that often never existed or have been lost over time. The amendment provides a lawful alternate verification mechanism, allowing NIC renewal through affidavit and witness certification, so senior citizens are not deprived of identity, dignity, or access to basic rights due to impossible documentation requirements. #NADRAAmendmentBill2025 #SeniorCitizens #RightToIdentity #DignityAndRights #ParliamentOfPakistan NADRA PAKISTAN National Assembly 🇵🇰
