Jalen Brunson, thank you for doing the right thing Instead of just taking Hart's ball-screen he calls for Hart to set a ram screen, switching Queta on KAT, KAT sets another to take Queta back in Boston switches over, Tatum rotates, perfect timing pass. Best play of the night

One of the real problems the Knicks have ran into with Philly is where to stick Brunson, VJ is so strong and athletic, it's a tough cover. With Barlow out there, he might be the guy to put Brunson on? Not 100% about that, because of the height differnce and oREBs

I mean this is like Lebron James, Luka Doncic shit, palming the ball away from the big that's playing high coverage on the screen. Understanding the coverage enough to know that when teams play high, they tag the roller. Throwing a dart to the weak-side shooter

Brunson had a phenomenal game, but there's good and bad takeaways. Why does KAT set a ball-screen if he's not going to leverage his gravity? I mean look at the break. They don't even look at each other. Denver isn't ready to rotate out. Am I the only one frustrated by that?

One of the newer concepts teams have developed recently Taking away help defenders by cutting/some call it a "wheel". Nothing is flawless though, you can see how it can contribute to TOs

Drop coverage doesn't mean drop into the restricted area and contest absolutely nothing

Just abhorrent defense, Yabusele gets caught ball watching, Bridges tries to makes up for his mistake The Hornets didn't do anything special on this play, hate to say it, but it's just lazy. The worse type of defense you can get. Brown calls a timeout right after this

How is the Knicks offense so different and new? They can layer their plays. There was a reason for heavy motion offense to start Empty 45 breaks down -> straight into their pinch post offense I detailed this on my substack when watching the Kings, they can layer multiple plays
