Sheikh Naim Qassem , leader of Hezbollah, discloses the number of martyrs and wounded of Hezbollah in the Al Aqsa Flood Battle. Hezbollah sacrificed 5000 martyrs and 13,000 wounded, in that battle ALONE. There is no group on earth that has sacrificed for Palestine like Shia. And that commitment will never change.

There are people who discovered Karbala not in books, not in lectures, but in prison cells. One man from Gaza spoke about learning the story of Imam Hussain while imprisoned by the Zionist entity and seeing in it something deeper than history — a philosophy that breaks chains long before walls fall. Karbala is not a call to seek suffering. It is a refusal to surrender truth for comfort, dignity for survival, or principles for permission. The greatest prison is not concrete — it is accepting that oppression is normal, that resistance is futile, that power defines truth. To understand Karbala is to understand that victory is not always measured by who remains standing, but by who refused to kneel. That is why oppressed people across generations keep returning to it. A philosophy that liberates the mind before the land.

There is something people still fail to understand about Palestine. Not every battle is fought first on the battlefield. Some are fought inside the human being. Some are fought against fear, humiliation, and the belief that submission is inevitable. That is why so many people connect Palestine to Karbala. Not because the events are identical, but because they see in Karbala the refusal to accept that truth is measured by power, numbers, or immediate outcomes. Imam Husayn (AS), in Shia tradition, became a symbol of refusing legitimacy to what one believes is oppression even when the cost is immense. The lesson many take from that story is not seeking death — it is refusing to let fear decide what is true. When figures in Palestinian resistance publicly speak positively about Iranian support, many supporters interpret that through that same lens: not as sect, ethnicity, or geography, but as standing with those who they believe chose support over abandonment at moments they felt isolated. To them, the real victory begins before territory. It begins when a people stop believing that defeat is their natural condition. The most dangerous thing any occupier can lose is not land. It is control over the imagination of the people. Because once people stop accepting humiliation as destiny, history changes. Karbala, for those who invoke it, was never simply about who remained standing at the end of the day. It was about what survives after sacrifice: conviction, memory, and the refusal to normalize what one sees as injustice. That is why some say: first the mind is liberated, then the land follows.

Karbala was never about winning a battle It was about making sure truth would never die Imam Hussain did not stand believing he would conquer territory He stood so that falsehood would never inherit legitimacy The objective was never a momentary victory The objective was that generations later people would still know who stood with truth and who stood with power ﴿مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ﴾ Among the believers are men who remained true to what they pledged to Allah — 33:23 Some fulfilled their vow Others still await and have not changed in the least This is why martyrdom terrifies tyrants Because when a people understand Karbala They stop measuring victory by today’s headlines By borders By destruction By temporary setbacks They begin measuring victory by whether truth survives Hajj Qassem understood this The leaders of the Palestinian resistance understood this That the blood of the martyrs is not avenged by another funeral It is avenged when Palestine remains alive in the hearts of people When Al-Quds is not abandoned When oppression loses its ability to convince people to submit Karbala was not an ending It was proof that truth can be surrounded and still win Victories are not meant to be momentary Truth is meant to remain Every day is Ashura Every land is Karbala
