I avoided trees with indistinct shape and stones that were hard to outline, starting instead from the shadows of the trees.🌳 Since the stones in the foreground are drawn in detail, the ones in the background look like stones even simplified, so I drew them with dotted lines.🪨

For a while now, I feel like my sense of seeing surfaces in terms of colour has developed.⬆️ By changing color to match surface changes, three-dimensionality comes through. When i understood that, i thought this is what it means to paint with colour, i found it delightful !🤩

I decided not to start with the right or center buildings, the placement and outline felt off and the distant one was too small. The foreground guardrail, despite its tricky angle, pops white in value and gives me a point I can keep checking, so I started there. 📍
