tbh, i was prepared for the ending but i never thought it would hurt this much. menties, i love you so much! if only i could hug you until the pain fades away but i could only give understanding. it hurts watching you leave but my heart is at peace seeing you prioritize yourselves this time. you deserve the same love, understanding, and respect that you've been giving mikbrent this whole time. as for me, siguro matagal na panahon ako manghihinayang sa mikbrent not only romantically but platonically. siguro matagal na panahon ako manghihinayang sa potential ng fandom natin. i was here when things were still starting, witnessed how the simple shipping began to dream, the support slowly turning to love, the fandom starting to become a home, and when some dreams started to become our reality which made us dream and hope even more. i don't and i will never regret that in this lifetime, i rooted, appreciated, and hoped for mika and brent. i can still go back to how i wrote about them during and after pbb and have a bittersweet smile because i know regardless of label, what they had, the reasons why i shipped them, the reasons why i hoped for their friendship to last— were real. deep inside, i know that not because some things shifted, doesn't mean what used to be were fake. so here's a reminder of what used to unite us as a fanmily: this is the mikbrent that i knew, the duo that i loved, and when one day i find myself reminiscing our 'mikbrent era', this is the memories that i'd choose to remember
