🏆 We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the SIHA Network Women at the Frontline Awards, 2024! 🌍 Organized under the theme, "Championing Women’s Agency through Breaking Barriers and Stereotypes during times of War and Conflict," this year's Awards Ceremony recognized individuals and organizations that have made substantial contributions to mobilizing women’s agency to counter violence against women, overcoming obstacles to women’s leadership and participation in decision-making, and promoting women’s economic empowerment in conflict-affected and war-sensitive regions, with a particular focus on Sudan. Individual Category Award Winners 🏅 Gisma Hammad kuku Kafi, a fearless activist from Kassala, Sudan, was recognized for her pivotal role in supporting displaced families and fostering peace through dialogue and humanitarian aid efforts. 🏅 ‘Zee’ Omnia Al-Geniad (@KushiteDictator), an online advocate whose dedication to raising awareness about the Sudan crisis through social media has mobilized global support and resources was also acknowledged. Organizational Category Award Winner 🏅 Darfur Advocacy Group (Darfur Advocacy Group) won in this category because of their outstanding efforts in advocating for human rights and civilian protection in Darfur.
