Also, unless I'm severely mistaken, these are the first full scale, full body skeletal mounts of Megalosaurus that aren't actually based on Neovenator or some other large theropod from the former wastebasket still attached to antiquated labels. Which is insane for many reasons!

A second walk cycle attempt of my "Crooked Rex" Tyrannosaur character model, with a look at the inner workings of the rig. It features a partial muscle and skin simulation using the native cloth physics in Blender, influencing the main mesh via surface deform modifiers.

I'm fine tuning the muscle-skin setup of my T. rex model, so decided to made a little comparison video showing the effect of the different layers during animation.

Hopefully the video doesn't get too compressed, but here's a layer-by-layer look at Hatcher the Triceratops, built atop reposed scans of the mounted skeleton made available by the Smithsonian DPO. 🦴🥩🍗

Repost of my Tyrannosaurus rex muscle rig reel, which is actually almost a year old now. This rig is still one of my favourite things that I've ever made.🦖🍗🦴
