The 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 for International Skinny Dip Day… SDD is a legit holiday (not just a silly one); and a worldwide 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🎉 of… 1 — Courage; confidence; community; joy; acceptance of ourselves and others (‘flaws’ and all); positive attention to the best of ourselves and of humanity. 2 — SDD’s fundraising efforts curing *1000s* of women from horrific body shame (the untreated childbirth injuries… obstetric fistula and perineal tears), via Fistula Foundation. While we have already made beautiful accomplishments on both of these fronts… 1 — introducing dozens of people (so far) into concrete, body positive experiences… and 2 — curing 27 women (so far) from their birth trauma injuries and shame… we also do have the vision to bring this movement to many more people… continuing to transform individuals’ shame (of all forms)… into courage, confidence, community, joy… acceptance… and belief in our best. International Skinny Dip Day (North) 😊 ...2nd Saturday of July International Skinny Dip Day (South) 🤯 ...2nd Saturday of January In this clip from Vonks 🇿🇦's beautiful program Naturist Café 💙, Thomas shares the idea that the current SDD should become the *North* version; and a separate *South* version should be established (...ideally still tied into our growing project's goal of fundraising on SDD to cure horrific body shame via Fistula Foundation.)
