Freedom of expression, freedom of speech, inciting nothing. I have calm, rational debates with people. I was not disrespectful. I love people. I am a Christian.” The man is then loaded into the back of a police van and taken away, all for wearing a sign that someone might find offensive.

But here you have a very, very similar situation where due to the behavior of appalling police work, we’ll never know whether they could have helped save this boy’s life, but they went out of their way not to, and it was a disgraceful stain on the British police and on our country. But I haven’t seen yet any politicians take the knee for Henry Novak. Why would you do it for something that happened in America but you won’t do for something that happened on our own doorstep?” The selective outrage says it all. Virtue signalling seems reserved for narratives that fit, not for uncomfortable tragedies demanding real answers here at home.

The game was so end-to-end and mistake-ridden that they couldn’t keep it together. British Police 2026: Woman Pulled Over on Way to Hospital Appointment for “Inappropriate Use of Horn” 🤦♂️ This is what British policing has come to. A driver is pulled over on her way to a hospital appointment. A pedestrian steps out from a junction without looking. The driver beeps her horn to avoid an accident. The police then stop her and confirm she is being reported for court over “inappropriate use of horn.” Driver: “You’re taking me to court because I came in from a junction and a male was crossing the road, didn’t look and I beeped… is that correct?” Officer: “Yes.” The officer then reads her the caution before stating: “You’ve been reported for the consideration of prosecution for inappropriate use of horn.” This isn’t a joke. While violent crime, knife attacks, grooming gangs, thefts, and burglaries continue to plague communities across the country, officers are spending time and resources pursuing a woman for sounding her horn at a careless pedestrian. When everyday road users trying to drive safely are being dragged toward court for basic defensive actions, but far more serious offences often go under-policed, the public loses confidence in law enforcement. We need police focused on actual crime, not this.

Ricky Gervais on 60 Minutes Makes a Crystal-Clear Case for Free Speech He put it perfectly: the great thing about freedom of speech is that I can say what I want, and you can say you're offended, and I get to decide whether I care or not. Because let's be honest, there's nothing you can say that someone, somewhere won't find offensive. That's why blasphemy laws are so absurd, they're basically trying to protect an all-powerful deity from having its feelings hurt. At the end of the day, we should be free to criticise any idea. Just because you're offended doesn't automatically mean you're right. Spot on, Ricky. Free speech isn't about never upsetting anyone, it's about the right to speak anyway.
