The owner poured $750,000 of his own funds into the building, as well as his own time as a contractor. Now, the property owner of the building is trying to force him out. The District on Crenshaw is fighting to keep its doors open. The neighborhood they have served is being asked to stand with them. If you have been a commercial or residential tenant of Crenshaw Square, LLC, Fred Leeds Properties, or a related entity — share what happened. You can submit anonymously.

Today Kendrick Lamar pulled up to Centennial High School in Compton, Calif., along with Dr. Dre and for CHS groundbreaking ceremony. Kendrick Lamar graduated from Centennial High School in 2005 and Dre attended as a freshman. The new campus is reportedly expected to cost around $270 million and open in 2029. It will replace the current school with a state-of-the-art facility for around 1,800 students.
