A simple solution to keep our streets clean ♻️ Instead of bottles and cans ending up in the wrong place, you now can leave them on these new bin surrounds, making it easy anyone to pick them up, recycle, and get the deposit back. I’ve seen these bin surrounds working well across Europe so pitched the idea to Dublin City Council and worked closely with the North Inner City task force and council officials to make it happen. Let's get these in Dún Laoghaire next!

An Bord Pleanála has ruled that planning permission isn’t needed to improve and upgrade the Coastal Mobility Route. The council is going to improve the CMR by filling in a new cycle lane in the missing segment along Crofton Road by improving the segregation with cars on the road. Work can finally go to tender and begin after a year-long delay - bringing us closer to a revitalised coastline. 🌊🌱 Here’s what to expect👇

My experience at #TCD has shaped who I am and encouraged me to dedicate a lot of my life to solving environmental problems - that’s why I got elected as a councillor, a TD and Minister of State. Dún Laoghaire, it has been an honour to serve as your public representative over the last 10 years. I didn’t manage to get re-elected this weekend but I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who voted for me and to all the community groups and people I have worked closely with. You are still represented by our fantastic councillors Conor Dowling, Cllr Tom Kivlehan and Cllr Lauren Tuite.
