I have launched my SomePLAOSINT website. My aim is to create a tool to visualize the PLA's modernization and evolving power projection capability. Available to my Project Coordinator tier members on Patreon. Currently there are 3 major modules: 1. Shipbuilding dashboard illustrating the pace of PLAN's expansion. 2. PLAN fleet tracker illustrating the intensifying maritime activities of the world's largest fleet. 3. PLAAF bomber coverage map illustrating the curitial but often underappreciated power projection capabilities.

China's first aircraft carrier wasn't acquired through official channels. It was purchased by a private company, under verbal commission from PLA's military intelligence, with no paper trail — shielded from both internal and external scrutiny. My newest Patreon paid member video (link in next post) is about a story even less known in China and only uncovered by years of investigative journalism work from Chinese state media and PLAN's official writer.

J-11BH, J-11BSH, J-11BGH attached to a training unit of the PLA Naval University is conducting formation training. These airframes are mostly about 15-20 year’s old. While the one J-11BGH in the mix might be just around 5 years old. As the PLA further introduces new and more capable airframes, perfectly good 4th and 4.5th ones are pushed out of frontline service and moved into a pure training roles.
