MSU completes the 3-0 home sweep on the back of an efficient 23-4-10 from Fears and 16-10 from Kohler. D continued to be suffocating until the offense got going. Scott/Teng’s perimeter shotmaking was desperately needed to shake the lid loose and Spartans roll out to the W Coast.

Always gonna rock with my PG1 but he cost the team the game in this one. No place for it and it impacted winning. Play hard, play physical, cut out the extra BS. Have to stop the bleeding with a huge matchup on Saturday. Find a way to regroup at home. Go Green!

Finally got to the rewatch and the unsung hero was Jordan Scott. Ended up as the majority primary defender on the leagues leading scorer in Wilkerson and gave up a single 3PTer while checking him. Team high +24, 11 PTS, 3/4 from deep (now 9/18 in B1G play) 2 STLs, 2 forced TOVs.

The most impressive part of Teng’s shotmaking is how little space he needs to get it off. Love someone to pull Synergy#s on contested 3s because it feels like his % goes up with a hand in the face. The gravity/spacing he’s commanding has a trickle down for Fears in a big way too.
