UMG & the IFPI have initiated another wave of seemingly automated copyright takedowns on this app. Our mashup album “if The Weeknd made Thriller” has been taken down as part of this. This wave of takedowns affected thousands of people who posted Ariana Grande, Eminem, Taylor Swift & The Weeknd content over the last THREE YEARS. While scrolling through the email, multiple random small accounts with posts dating back to early 2024 who had just posted snippets of their favorite music were striked. It seems that anybody who has ever posted any form of copyrighted music content (hundreds of thousands of accounts), regardless of fair use, is now risking suspension on this app.
