If you want a fast-lane life where taking a break can feel like a luxury, the UK, Canada and much of Europe offer you that. If you want a fast-lane life where taking a break is still part of the culture, Asia can offer you that. If you want a life where work-life balance is non-negotiable, New Zealand offers you that. If you want a fast-lane life built around ambition, luxury, convenience and opportunity, places like Dubai and Qatar offer you that. If you want a life with a mix of hustle, community, freedom, chaos, opportunity and enjoyment, Africa gives you a bit of everything. In my next life, I’d love to experience Asia again. There’s something about that part of the world that stays with you.

The reason we learn and practise freediving is because it teaches you how to stay calm under pressure, train your mind and body, move efficiently and manage oxygen consumption. I had my own difficult moments in Apra Harbor, same thing. I miscalculated but then again we rest, recover properly, and go back in. The sweet trap about free-diving is that going down can be the easy and exciting part… this is where most people get carried away. That feeling of “you are in a world of your own.” You set a target. Then you want to go a little deeper. You want to stay a little longer. You want to see what is beneath you. But eventually, you have to come back up, and that is where poor judgement can become very dangerous. 5 seconds into the ascent you already know what is in for you… if you are good or if you have pushed too far. The worst thing you can do at that point is panic. Panic increases your workload and oxygen demand when your body is already under stress. This is exactly why freediving should NEVER be done alone. Well, free diving is not something you just wake up and go do on your own, there is a learning curve and you do not begin by chasing depth. You learn gradually starting with: Technique. Breathing. Equalisation. Recovery. Safety procedures. Buddy rescue… bla bla bla. Then, little by little, metre by metre, your ability develops. This is one of the best things you can learn, and after your 1st or 2nd lesson, your fears would have been eliminated. #SafetyFirst.

My honest review of these 3: *ZARA Olfactive No.01 – Energetically New York *ZARA Olfactive No.04 – Fashionably London *ZARA Fashionably London Elixir Yesterday I posted about Fashionably London and the comments were coming in from everywhere. Different countries, different preferences. I love that. Fashionably London lasted 13 hours on me. I got home and could still smell it. This morning I picked up the shirt I wore yesterday… and yes, it was still there. Softer, but definitely there. That’s a solid 9/10 for me. Today I tried the two that kept popping up in the comments: Elixir and Energetically New York. Honestly? Both feel stronger than the regular Fashionably London. But if I had to choose just one between those two, I’m picking Energetically New York. No hesitation. If I’m layering: • Energetically New York + Fashionably London (not the Elixir) • Elixir + Fashionably London I personally think layering Energetically New York and Elixir together might be a bit too much. Could feel heavy or overwhelming. But maybe that’s just me. Fashionably London is smooth, balanced, effortless. The other two just turn the volume up. Overall, all three are serious performers. I genuinely like them. As for long-lasting power, I can only fully speak on Fashionably London for now… and it showed up.

To surpass your father, you cannot only inherit what he knew… you must encounter what he never encountered. You must encounter new people, new places, new knowledge, new battles, new spirits. There is a reason many sons eventually become no different from their fathers, even when they swore they would be different. They inherited the same environment, the same fears, the same limitations and, as funny as this may sound, sometimes the same enemies. Every generation is supposed to discover something the previous generation couldn’t reach. Some fathers fought battles their children will never understand just to move the family one step forward. Now it is your turn. And one of your duties is to question the limitations your father was forced to accept as reality. Do not spend your entire life fighting battles your father already won. Every generation must go further into the unknown and that is how families evolve. That is how bloodlines change. Your father conquered the world he knew. Your responsibility is to discover the worlds he never knew existed. It is a relay race... We are all going to be ancestors someday and those coming behind us will pick it up from wherever we stop. That is how generations advance.

The Igbo and Yoruba did not discover God, spirituality or morality when Europeans arrived. They already had sophisticated ways of understanding the Divine, the ancestors, nature, destiny, morality, life, death and the relationship between the visible and invisible worlds. They had names for the Creator before they heard the English word “God.” They had sacred places before they saw a church. They had spiritual philosophies before they read the Bible. They had ways of communicating with the Divine before somebody taught them how to see God through another people’s language and worldview. We did not meet God when we met Europe. You do not have to abandon Christianity or Islam. You do not even have to practice traditional spirituality. But you should know what existed before you.

I remember those days i would just be upstairs, sometimes for a week. I don't go down. Mum or my sisters or Aunts bring my food upstairs. Sometimes I hear a visitor ask my Dad about me and he tells the person he hasn't seen me for a week and depending on the family relationship, he directs the person to my room. One time, I needed to understand why my Dad and my Mum were always sick and worried when ever I was driving home late. They prefer I sleep or lodge wherever I am then drive at night to my own house (comfort zone). I was driving to visit them one time and I got home past 12 mid9th. I saw my Dad sitting outside waiting for me. This man doesn't joke with his sleep, i asked him why he was still up, and he said he just came out to enjoy fresh air. The next day, my mum told me how my Dad was worried and scared, and I was like at this my age? She said “Your Dad even called Yusuf (Albati barracks) putting them on Standby to go search for you if you were not home by 1 am. I was laughing out so LOUD!... When my Dad came back from work, i was about to leave, i jokingly asked him why he was worrying himself and he said “Person when no get pikin no know wetin God do for am. When you give birth to yours, you will understand”.
