We've had to adjust our profile on the Big Shot Boss Salmonid—it now hops to get around while slamming cannonballs down to produce shockwaves. If you defeat them in a way that causes them to drop those cannonballs, the shockwaves will affect Salmonids instead of you!

Flyfish are Salmonids that fire missiles from their shoulders to attack you from afar. On the Spirhalite Islands, the Flyfish has thinner armor on its cockpit than normal. Hit the Smallfry piloting it to take it out—it's a small target though, so line up your shots with care!

The Salty Tongue is a Boss Salmonid that attacks up close with powerful bites. It has a lot of stamina, so you'll have to wear it down gradually while keeping your distance. We're still trying to ascertain why its tongue is always sticking out... #SplatoonRaiders

The Steelhead is a Boss Salmonid that inflates a bomb on its head and throws it at you. It's vulnerable while the bomb itself is being inflated. Though covered in hard scales, it seems the Steelheads of the Spirhalite Islands do take minor damage from body shots. #SplatoonRaiders

The Booyarang is a gadget for the Speed Tank. It stops mid-air when thrown, pauses, and then returns to your hand. With good positioning and good clearance to throw it, you can hit a lot of Salmonids, especially if you move to the right spot while waiting for it to come back.

A new song featuring Off the Hook & Fire & Ice, "Suffer No Fools" drops as Splatfest battle music! When Frye heard Off the Hook was having their 1st Splatsville concert, she got mad! Ignoring the starstruck Big Man, Frye & Shiver went to Off the Hook's green room for some words!

The Hi-Fiver is a gadget for the Tactical Tank. It shoots five lines of ink in a radial pattern which also bounce off terrain. These lines remain wherever the ink passed and inflict damage on any Salmonids that touch them. Good use of the terrain will reward you with many hits!

The Fish Stick is a Boss Salmonid made up of a tall pillar and a platoon of eight Smallfry. You can climb the pillar to defeat all of the Smallfry, but the Fish Sticks of the Spirhalite Islands can also be brought down to earth by attacking the propellers at the bottom.
