According to reports, at least 547 people have been killed in Nepal and 5 in neighbouring Tibet after catastrophic flash flooding triggered by a massive Himalayan glacier collapse on August 26, 2026. Emergency crews are scrambling to locate more than 1,400 missing people, including hundreds of foreign tourists. The disaster has caused widespread chaos across north-central Nepal. The main areas affected are Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts, along with communities along the Lhende Khola and Trishuli river corridors. What caused the disaster? • Glacier collapse: On the morning of Wednesday, August 26, an enormous chunk of glacier broke off high in the mountains on the Nepalese side of the border. • Seismic force: The ice plunged roughly 7,000 feet into the river valley, triggering a massive debris flow. The impact registered as a magnitude 5.2 earthquake on automated detection networks. • Wall of water: The resulting mudslide and displaced water sent a colossal wave down the Lhende Khola river valley, instantly obliterating everything in its path.

Well, VDM is vindicated! Nigeria Police Force These police officers were caught supplying weapons to bandits, kidnappers, according to reports. In VDM’s voice, here is the truth: kidnappings across my own region South East come from people with access to weapons. Who are they? Ordinary Nigerians are hardworking. They have no time for kidnapping and banditry. The thought isn’t even there. Even if it were, they have nowhere to get weapons. This fact stares us in the face, just as VDM said. Remove the military and police from the East and kidnapping and robbery will die a natural death. The Nigerian Police must scrutinize admission processes to stop recruiting criminals. Step up.
