Dear Coach Marcus Kimbrell, “A good person loves their own kids, a great person loves other people’s kids.” There’s no better quote than that for Coach Marcus Kimbrell! Started in 1997, 28 years of coaching, 11 as a head coach, 16 years at OHS. Coached in 3 state championship games. More importantly thousands of athletes who have been coached and cared for by Coach Kimbrell. The words thank you aren’t enough for years of caring for others children that you have done. As a father, the best things you can give to your children are love, moments of joy, work ethic, discipline, and a good name. And the Kimbrell name is a name of high standards, a name of character, a name of love, and a name of integrity. While you couldn’t give your players your last name, you did teach them love, work ethic, discipline, character, integrity, and gave moments of joys. The football fields in Kentucky won’t be the same without you. Rash Stadium crowds got a good man added to it.
