USS Tulsa Arrives in Colombo to Strengthen U.S.–Sri Lanka Maritime Ties 🇺🇸 🇱🇰 The U.S. Navy’s USS Tulsa 🚢(LCS 16), an Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship, arrived at the Port of Colombo for its second visit to Sri Lanka in two years. The goodwill visit aims to strengthen U.S.–Sri Lanka 🇺🇸 🇱🇰 maritime ties and cooperation between the two navies. The ship will refuel and resupply in Colombo before continuing its Indo-Pacific mission. U.S. Ambassador Eric Meyer said the visit provides an opportunity to deepen friendship and build trust between the two countries. The 127.7-metre-long USS Tulsa can reach speeds of more than 40 knots and is designed for maritime security, sea control and humanitarian assistance operations.
