Djiboutis comment at the emergency UN Security Council regarding Israeli’s re recognition of the republic of Somaliland. Djiboutis representative to the UN Security Council mockingly labelling The republic of Somaliland as “the breakaway region of the so called republic of Somaliland” went on to further inform us why the country he represents has no interest in seeing 6million Somalis in Somaliland with the same rights as the 1 million in Djibouti. He stated: ➡️ Djibouti fully supports the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Somalia. ➡️ Israel's recognition of Somaliland is viewed as a violation of international law and inconsistent with the principles of the African Union and the UN Charter. ➡️ The representative warned that unilateral recognition could undermine peace and stability in the Horn of Africa and create a dangerous precedent for terrorist organisation. ➡️ Djibouti called on all UN Member States to respect Somalia's internationally recognized borders and urged the Security Council to defend the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. Notably, today, Maxamuud Xaashi Cabdi, Chairman of the Kaah party in the Republic of Somaliland, defended Djibouti as a friend, aligning himself with Djibouti’s position.

Asalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh I hereby extend my deepest condolences to the families, relatives, and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives in the recent incident in the Capital of the Awdal Region, Borama. I also sincerely pray that Allah grants a swift and complete recovery to all individuals who were injured. The distressing events that have affected the city of Borama and its honorable residents have brought profound sorrow, and I stand in full solidarity with the people of Awdal, both within the region and abroad. It is essential that an immediate, impartial, and comprehensive investigation be carried out to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Every individual must assume their appropriate responsibility, and a high level inquiry grounded in transparency, professionalism, and integrity is required. Those found accountable for the harm and losses sustained by the city of Borama and its people must be brought before the law without exception. Note: Should this statement appear to have been issued later than expected, I wish to clarify that I have already addressed this matter in greater detail across other social media platforms.
