SECRETARY RUBIO: "Why is she leaving? I'm going to answer her questions. Oh, I got it. Well, thank you for coming."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "There's no doubt that when you have people showing up with pre-printed signs 24 hours after Nicolás Maduro was arrested and extradited to the United States, that's not an organic movement. Someone's paying for that."

The United States’ response to earthquakes in Venezuela is big, fast, effective, and ongoing. 🇺🇸 🤝 🇻🇪

SECRETARY RUBIO: Our desire is not to hurt the people of Iran. Frankly, we wish the voices of the people of Iran were heard as opposed to having 40,000 of them murdered in the streets, inside of hospitals, and executed on a routine basis. They are victims of that regime.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "On Nigeria, where many were very concerned about violence against Christians, we are now actively in counterterrorism cooperation with the Nigerian government and Nigerian security forces."

Another day of teamwork, rescue efforts, and helping Venezuelan victims reunite with their families.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The people of Iran are incredible people. The people who lead them are the problem. If there are new people now in charge with a more reasonable vision of the future, it would be good news for the entire world. But we must be prepared if that isn’t the case.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "You're not going to have peace and stability in this region as long as there are non-state actors operating within the boundaries and borders of sovereign countries and being funded by Iran."

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Iran isn’t coming through with the kind of deal that we need to have. We’re going to get this thing done properly. We’re not going to leave early and then have the problem arise in 3 years.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: It looks like Iran wants to just make a deal. Their economy is in free fall. They have 250% inflation. Their money has no value. Their whole economic system is broken down.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "Hezbollah is not just an enemy of Israel and an enemy of America, Hezbollah is an enemy of Lebanon and of the Lebanese people."

SECRETARY RUBIO: Cuba’s economy doesn’t work. It has survived on subsidies from the Soviet Union and now from Venezuela. They don’t get subsidies anymore so they’re in a lot of trouble.

SECRETARY RUBIO: I think the Iranians are serious about getting themselves out of the mess that they’re in. All the problems they had before the start of this conflict are still there or worse but now they have half the missiles, none of the factories, and no navy.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The United States will not tolerate hostage diplomacy. We’re going to continue to hold the Iranian regime and all other regimes accountable for these practices.

SECRETARY RUBIO: President Trump raised the issue of Iran with China and it was important. The Chinese side said they are not in favor of militarizing the Strait of Hormuz and are not in favor of a tolling system, and that's our position.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "The President has made clear that the priority is that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "This is a distinctive and unique evil. It has always been driven by a hatred, above all else, for civilization itself."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "For far too long, however, our counterterrorism doctrine has had a blind spot. A blind spot when it comes to extremist violence from the political left."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "We will dismantle these networks brick by brick. It is time for the people of the civilized world to defend ourselves."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "These are not distinct and isolated cells, they are interconnected networks. They do not recognize our borders. They do not believe in the nation-state itself."

Against impossible odds, hope endures. 🇺🇸 American search and rescue teams rescued an infant from beneath the rubble following the earthquake in Venezuela. Every life saved is a victory.

For nearly 7 years there have been no direct commercial flights between the U.S. and Venezuela. Under President Trump we're changing that today. Flights between Miami and Caracas restored.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "Under President Trump, for the first time, the United States is building the infrastructure, the partnerships, and the strategy to defeat the scourge of far-left terror."

PRESIDENT TRUMP: The Strait is going to be open to everybody. It’s international waters. We’ll watch over it, but nobody’s going to control it. Oman will behave like everybody else or we’ll have to blow them up. They understand that.
