Millennium Force is 26 years old and still one of the cleanest, most aggressive coasters in the world. When it opened in 2000 it was the first full-circuit coaster to break the 300-foot barrier (310 ft, 93 mph). What made it revolutionary wasn’t just the height — it was the cable lift. At the time almost every major coaster used a traditional chain lift. The cable system was faster, smoother, and far more reliable under heavy use. That engineering choice is a big reason the ride still runs with such consistency today. The layout itself is also deceptively smart. No inversions. Instead it prioritizes sustained speed and repeated airtime hills. That design has aged better than a lot of the inversion-heavy coasters that came after it. Many rides from the early 2000s feel dated. Millennium Force still feels current. Videos like this one (everyday station and queue moments) are a good reminder that the best coasters don’t need constant rethemes or new special effects. They just need to be well-designed and well-maintained. Still a benchmark.

I was watching the “power slap” on tv the other night. Flipping through and I saw this. These are so ridiculous. I don’t understand the point? Just so you can show you can take a slap to the face with no pain! You can just go to a bar and make a rude comment and get this for free with no entry fee.

Most people overpay for oil changes on their Ford Taurus because they don’t realize how straightforward the job actually is — if you know the few details that matter. This short clip shows the basic process. Here’s the substance most people miss: • Use the correct oil. Most 3.5L Taurus engines (especially 2010–2019) call for 5W-20. Using the wrong viscosity is one of the most common DIY mistakes. • Capacity is typically 5.5–6 quarts with a filter change. Always confirm with your specific year/engine in the owner’s manual. • The oil filter on these cars can be awkward to reach. A proper filter wrench or strap tool is worth it — forcing it often damages the housing or leaves the old gasket stuck, which causes leaks later. • Drain plug torque matters. Over-tightening strips the pan threads; under-tightening leads to drips. Clean the sealing surface and use a new crush washer when possible. • After refilling, run the engine for a minute, shut it off, wait a few minutes, then recheck the dipstick. Top off only if needed. Then reset the oil life monitor so the system tracks accurately. Doing this yourself every 5,000–7,500 miles (or when the monitor says so) is one of the highest-ROI maintenance jobs you can perform.
