OAKLAND: California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce Convention Becerra was booked too, but he CANCELED. The absolute arrogance of this corrupt machine! He thinks he'll become governor without even running. Well I showed up. Unlike Becerra, the 36 year career politician, I’ve worked in business most of my career, including as a small business owner. I know EXACTLY how tough things have gotten for small businesses after 16 years of one party rule. Here’s my plan to fix it: First $150k tax free. Abolish the $800 small business tax. End the insane regulations on small business. End PAGA lawsuits. California will again be a place where businesses grow instead of flee. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Here’s what I’ll do to protect the dignity of workers: 1. Keep AI Out of Firing Decisions: Ban AI from deciding who gets fired, disciplined, demoted, or deactivated. 2. Put a Real Person on the Record: A named person must make the decision and hear the worker’s side. 3. Protect App-Based Workers: Losing access to the platform that provides your income is firing in all but name. 4. Make Work More Human: Let workers challenge AI-based decisions with the Labor Commissioner. In this case, the unions got it right. And Big Business, who lobbied in favor of “robo-firings,” got it wrong. As governor, I’ll END this inhumanity and stand up for working people.
