Pretty incredible to hear Mamdani denounce the literal core of so many people's vendetta against Abundance: "What's been frustrating is that even the very language of this conversation — language around bureaucracy, inefficiency, waste, even quality of life — we've allowed this language to be seen as if it is of a right-wing concern, when in fact this should be the most paramount left-wing concern."

Re: what could be done differently, I always go back to this question from the 2019 "CNN Equality Town Hall." Elizabeth Warren is asked if she ever previously opposed same sex marriage. And she answers that she never did! Which is objectively insane! She's in her late 70s and was born in Oklahoma in the 1940s, of course she's changed her mind. Democratic politicians having a dash of humility and not wrapping themselves in moral and intellectual superiority might be a good start
